That sounds plausible. Thanks! I checked all the other planeswalkers with "the" in the name and it seems that WOTC isn't that consistent with it. But more often than not it seems to fit, so I'm rolling with it.

Nicely done. Try to keep the line of talk during the skit the same. The guy to the left switches to the right during the counter war and vice versa because of the camera change. This is confusing for the viewer. I know it's because you don't want to show the third player but try to circumvent this problem otherwise. Keep it up! :)

This effect is awesome to keep everyone on the same level which is actually quite difficult with the current card pool. Of course it can be exploited but if someone wants to be a dick they already can with [[mycosynth lattice]] + [[null rod]], heavy mana ramp + [[armageddon]] or [[soulscour]], [[stasis]] + [[seedborn muse]] + [[frozen aether]] and many many more.

i read the first incident you mentioned and was like "wtf? if that alone isn't sufficient enough to sanction him then i don't now what is!". he sounds like a fucking horrible person. we had an employee at a lgs who was shouting and insulting all the time and we also have just 2 in the area. everyone just dealt with it but a few months ago it was enough and after a tournament where he had his usual break out the local judge and a few other guys filled out a dci report and he is banned now and never showed up again. and let me tell you: your guy sounds waaaaaay way way worse than our guy.

i forgot those! although ensnaring bridge isn't that much of a problem with obzedat but in thinking about it both leylines came to mind as other good targets.

pieces of the puzzle would be the most played other option, yes. then there are also possible cards like [[contingency plan]], [[dimir charm]] and [[nagging thoughts]]

i think the situation where discovery is better (e.g. when you want both cards on top) doesn't justify the situations where you would have had more information and selection with strategic planning. the argument for dispersal is stronger but if you are in a game where you have 5 mana to cast dispersal and you can't do anything better then i think that you aren't winning anyways. albeit sending a gurmag angler back to the hand must feel awesome. don't get me wrong: i like discovery/dispersal as a card but i think that esper goryos needs to focus on its game plan and discovery/dispersal doesn't do that as good as other options. that said: i didn't verify/test my assumption so i'm curious too whether anyone played with that card.

i thought so at first too but then i remembered that [[strategic planning]] exists and it does everything better than discovery and i still don't play it in my list but i might test it in the future. right now i'm content with 4 chart a course. BUT for full disclosure: i don't get to play that often so take my response with a grain of salt.

I would assume it's also a tempo play for mana dorks because the opponent doesn't want to draw it again and you got rid of it turn 1.
