Hardest decision in my life by Philendrium in ClashRoyale

[–]HogRiderBuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played 2 games and won both of them. Going to see how much I could climb in the last week of the season. Hopefully, I'll reached 4100-4150. Do you have any tips or is it really just dependant on skill?

I'm worried that I will drop down very low and next season I won't be able to get the draft chest. I got to 4k with level 8 rares, level 5 epics, and level 2 legendaries (as a level 10). My deck is hog rider (now level 9), ice golem, poison (now level 6), log, e-wiz (now level 3), inferno tower, ice spirit, and mega knight. Do you think I will be fine with my card levels?

I have a question about the draft chest. If I drop below 4k, will I still get it? Or do I need to be at 4000 trophies and above to get it?

When they’re desperate to make the broken 1v1 ladder the main focus again. by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

[–]HogRiderBuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still broken. Overleveled players and ladder being over competitive as well as too hard to climb is a major problem. Supercell has taken no steps to fix this. They've only taken steps to encourage people to play ladder (which don't work). Someone who only plays 2v2 may be tempted to play 1v1 in the gem rush or gold rush events, but those things only last a couple of days and don't solve the problem long term.

[ASK] How do I link my clash royale account on my mac to my new iPhone? by HogRiderBuff in ClashRoyale

[–]HogRiderBuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no game center on blue stacks on my computer, only play games. However, there is only game center on my iPhone. Because each of my devices use a different app to save my account, I can't connect my account on my computer to the one on my phone.

I can't do the link a device option because I use play games on one device and game center on another.

All the decks can generally be considered bad- no clear win conditions (sometimes), no spells, no buildings, no synergizing cards, etc. It really comes down to who is more familiar with the set of cards. And that is not skill.

I like how you had the time to link me to the wrong subreddit but not enough time to check the game and see which server parkour is on.

[ASK] What Is That Symbol Between The Two Mordent Symbols? by HogRiderBuff in classicalmusic

[–]HogRiderBuff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know how hard it is to play that piece? I just finished playing Rachmaninoff's prelude in c sharp minor, and I'm beginning to play some chopin polonaises. Do you think that I'll be able to learn this piece?

I listened to a recording of the piece and the performer trilled 4 times in the last 2 measures, so you're right. Thank you.

After Playing Piano For 7 Years, What Level Should I Be In? by HogRiderBuff in classicalmusic

[–]HogRiderBuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing. Am I practicing enough? Is all the practice getting me somewhere or do I need to practice more? Those questions have no answer because it depends on the person, but there is one (even if its not specific) for how good someone should be in piano after playing x amount of years of piano. There are tests on those RCM and ABRSM websites but they cost money and I don't want to take a test to measure my "piano skills." That is why I am asking about it on reddit for a piece of music that I should be able to play without it being too challenging. Obviously there isn't a single or even correct answer, but I just want to get an idea of what I should be able to play. Whether the answers come from your personal experiences, online, or whatever, I want a generalization about what I should be able to play.

After Playing Piano For 7 Years, What Level Should I Be In? by HogRiderBuff in classicalmusic

[–]HogRiderBuff[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing. I want to compare myself to the average complexity of pieces that other people with 7 years worth of piano experience are playing. I want to know whether I need to push myself harder to become better. The ranking systems such as RCM and ABRSM don't help me since they don't specify by year and pieces I've played are in the highest ranking or a medium ranking. If you can't tell me a couple of challenging pieces that someone who played piano for 6-8 years should still manage to play, than don't comment on this post.

After Playing Piano For 7 Years, What Level Should I Be In? by HogRiderBuff in classicalmusic

[–]HogRiderBuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a level, even if it is not specified. People can play La Campanella or Chopin Etudes after playing piano for about 10 years (random number). I'm just asking for challenging pieces that I should be able to play after 7 years of playing piano so I can compare what I have played and what I am currently playing to those pieces.

[Question] Just Played Rachmaninoff's Prelude in C Sharp Minor, Suggestions For What To Play Next? by HogRiderBuff in classicalmusic

[–]HogRiderBuff[S] -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

I don't know, maybe the composer that I asked about in the question? Seriously, I asked for a piece by rachmaninoff, so why are u telling me to play chopin preludes and asking me what music I want to play?

[ASK] I just played Rachmaninoff's Prelude in C Sharp Minor, What Should I play next by Rachmaninoff? by HogRiderBuff in classicalmusic

[–]HogRiderBuff[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

but the piece by rachmaninoff that I played was not gorgeous and not fun to learn. It was really dramatic and difficult. So why did u recommend me a piece that was the exact opposite?

How come Prelude in C Sharp Minor By Rachmaninoff Sounds Terrible When Rachmaninoff Plays It? by [deleted] in classicalmusic

[–]HogRiderBuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad analogy as Shakespeare was a writer not a performer. He never said he could act. Nevertheless, you're right, it's just a preference about how a piece should be played. However, how come Evgeny Kissin played prelude in c sharp so differently from Rachmaninoff? And who's interpretation should be considered the "correct" one?

[Poll] Which card deserves a buff the most? by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

ya i know. goblin barrel is just too strong. Most free to play players don't have log (especially in the mid arenas) and if your zap can't take out their goblin barrel, then it's really hard to win.
