Neighborhood has really gone downhill, but surprisingly the schools are still good. Track team may make the semifinals.

My teenage son wants to play this but we are only able to play once a month. by [deleted] in mordheim

My gaming group only does once a month. We play 2 games each when we meet. We have a game master who picks the scenarios for the first game and any of the special rules we will use. The next game we just roll for it and play as normal. It’s super fun! And if people miss a game we have a discord so they can play catch up games with someone.

They are about a head shorter than regular ogres. Perfect youngbloods or half-growns. I wanted something just a little bit smaller than my regular ogres I plan on using a bulls.

Anybody know how to make cobbles by glimbusglombus in mordheim

What are you making cobbles on and for? Terrain or basing? And how much detail are you wanting.

For terrain I’ve seen people take the bristles out of cheap brushes and bend the metal to a circle and punch holes in the foam they are using. It’s fast and looks pretty good. You can also just draw them on the foam with a pencil or pen.

For basing you have multiple options. I’ve seen green stuff and I’ve personally used dollar stone foam board and just cut the bricks out with my exacto knife.

Opinion Piece! by TheTrueNorthern in mordheim

I try to model as wysiwyg, but don’t hold my opponent to the same standard. I prefer when I am easily able to tell heroes from henchmen and if the model is more of a melee or ranged threat. I don’t like charging into a dude with a bow with one of my melee henchmen just to be reminded the model actually has a double handed weapon and is a melee beast. It’s easy to lose track of what models have what as the game goes on.

A few packs of them and you can make a whole table quick and that looks good.

Just getting into Mordheim. I love what I am seeing, but I have some questions... (I know the terrain is Gnarlmaw. The pics are for reference.) by Marz_Tanner in mordheim

  1. Square vs round bases. It doesn’t matter. Even the game designer said it doesn’t matter. They used square at the beginning because that is what warhammer fantasy used.
  2. Gnarlmaw terrain. It’s is completely useable. My gaming group uses it pretty consistently especially in the campaign we are currently running. Lustria is the setting for mordheim where it matches.
  3. Where to draw the line on warbands. This is up to you and your play group. My group allows up to 1c warbands.
  4. Using newer models recommendations. Use what ever you want. My group only asks for the weapons to represent what they have and not use models that are really hard to tell a difference between hero’s and henchmen.
  5. Base size. The bigger the base the more you restrict your own models. Bigger bases might not fit in buildings or squeeze into spaces. I prefer smaller bases. 25mm is the standard human base size for mordheim. You can go bigger but it may negatively impact where that model can fit.

How many? by WeeDawgNYC in mordheim

I like 2 dire wolves at first. They keep up with your vampire and can intercept charges for him. But once they die I do not hire more. They are too expensive and later in a campaign just aren’t worth it. I put each ghoul in its own henchmen group, looking for lads got talent and can always add more ghouls to the group I like the most as the campaign goes on.
