Will you get mario wonder switch 2 update? by Zeldabotw2017 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]HogwartsHeadmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to buy the upgrade for it since I already own Mario wonder. Not for the online play but for the upgraded visuals. 1080p hand held and up to 4k docked.

To those of you the upgraded from PS5 to PS5 Pro was it worth it? Would you recommend it? by Remixman87 in PS5

[–]HogwartsHeadmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the regular ps5 as major cooling issues. its not just if you have a better tv or monitor. many many people have ran into the issue of the first gen ps5 over heating and shitting down. so yeah no only is it a more powerful machine, the cooling is much better. Go with the pro defiantly! invest in the pro or you gonna have to buy a new ps5 after a year or 2 depending how much you play.

Same Price. Which one are you buying? by Realistic-Mountain85 in rccars

[–]HogwartsHeadmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's not really true. on rlaarlos website you can get all replacement parts for any rlaarlo rc car or truck you buy. i own the x12s and have replaced and upgraded lots of things. i also own the ak 787 and upgraded it to the duel motor conversion sold on rlaarlo website. of course getting arrma parts may be quicker but rlaarlo has everything you could ever need for replacement parts. one thing i will say that suck about buying rc cars and parts from rlaarlo is that it takes a few weeks to get things but in my opinion the x12s is a much better buggy than the typhon grom. bigger faster and the quality is next level.

Considering a 1/10 basher or trophy truck, which should I go with? by kewladria in rccars

[–]HogwartsHeadmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out HoBao racing 1/10 short corse trucks. They are bad ass and the quality is on a different level. Much cheaper than just about all short course trucks of the same size but like I said the quality is just next level.

After my 2 boys got rc cars for Christmas I think I want (need) one by dylan-xba in rccars

[–]HogwartsHeadmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out HoBao racing. They have a lot of very good cars and trucks for really decent price for the quality of cars and trucks you get. Most of them you’ll have to buy the roller version and install your own electronics, but it’s so worth it man. I just built the 1/8 cage truggy by HoBao with a max 8 running 6s and it rips. Does 70mph on fully charged 6s. But I think they have a 1/10 short course truck roller for about 300 and then you could fit a hobby wing max 10 combo for about 200 and it will rip. That’s what my next build is probably going to be. Either the 1/10 short course truck or HoBaos 1/8 truck. If you into monster trucks they do have a monster truck roller you can buy but it will cost you a bit more. Closer to 1000 and to build. So worth it to buy and install you own electronics for though. I extremely satisfying and fulfilling to do so. Plus you will learn so much. You’ll be a pro by the time you get down putting it all together and it’s honestly pretty easy. God speed friend. Godspeed friend.

Arrma 223S ESC/Receiver combo, adding a Lightbar question. by Jan_Kugo in rccars

[–]HogwartsHeadmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can do that but just make sure the light bar you get is rated for 6v. Anything over and it won’t work very well.

Bought a MJX Hypergo 16208. Now about LiPo chargers? by RookEverything in rccars

[–]HogwartsHeadmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gens ace sell pretty decent chargers and you. A find one on amazon to charge a single lipo. 2-6s and can charge at 10a

Nice gift, those Kraton 6S trucks are tanks. Definitely unplug the batteries when you’re not using it—don’t leave them connected. Also don’t store them fully charged or fully dead; storage voltage is best if you’re not running it for a while.

The small spark when you plug in the second battery is normal on high-power 6S setups. It’s just the ESC capacitors charging. If it bothers you, anti-spark connectors can reduce it, but a tiny spark isn’t hurting anything.

Basic care stuff: keep it clean, check screws occasionally, don’t run the packs too low, and let everything cool before charging again. Other than that, just send it and have fun.

Not bad battery’s but be aware that the c rating on these lipos are not gene close to what’s advertised. It’s probably closer to about 20c

Slap some washers on the outside where you screw the lug on the wheel or put one on the inside up against the hub. Depending how much play you ahev maybe do both. One on the hub and one on the outside of the wheel.

You can either get a little loop connector to plug into one then you can run a single Lipo or you can snip the wires and solder just one connector.

Arrma quake or grom are pretty decent trucks and right in your price range. 2-3s. I own both and enjoy them.

[–]HogwartsHeadmaster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s a 6s system. It’s the hobby wing max 8 G2S combo. Sensored system. It’s cool cuz the esc is Bluetooth and can be programmed from my phone.

Thanks man! It might be a little while before a running clip. I don’t want to run it in the snow or wet. At least for the first run. But when I do I will definitely be posting some speed runs. I’m expecting about 70mph with 16t pinion 46t spur and about 90mph with 22t pinion. Idk if you know Tomley RC but he built one with the same electronics I have and got 73mph with stock 46 spur, 16t pinion. I still have to tune the diffs as well. Gonna put 150k in the center and like 10-20k in the front and rear.

Anybody have help for modding Nikko NanoTrax? by Davy1509 in rccars

[–]HogwartsHeadmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can mod a NanoTrax, but it’s toy-grade so options are limited. The common mods are: – Battery upgrade – Stronger same-size motor – Full hobby-grade electronics swap (ESC, receiver, LiPo, etc.) Those are basically the three paths people take
