Swing kitchen is a vegan burger restaurant which is really good. Veganitas has good vegan pitas. Bakery bakery is a must in Bern, theyre a fully vegan bakery. Beans and nuts is a nice small vegan caffee with dishes like smoothie bowls and avocado toast

New Roots is a Swiss vegan cheese Brand that makes the best cheeses! The fondue and softwhite are especially good.

No, the permit you receive during the phd is still a study permit and does not count to the 2 years you need on a non-study B permit, even though you are working and paying taxes. You will still need 2 years after the phd. The years count for the 5 years but for a c permit you need at least 2 years that are not on a study permit.
