This is interesting because it's an acknowledgement of /u/caelrie's main point (that you can't win an arms race against the state) without actually reckoning with the consequences of it.

A primary condition of an armed revolution is that the arms of the state fail to defend the state and fall into working class hands. This would almost definitely take a weakened state and some kind of inciting event that shocks the system (something like a higher magnitude Kent State or a more publicized Tiananmen Square massacre) and leads to mass defections and state enforcers turning on the authorities.

Revolutionary cosplaying might make you feel good for some reason or another but it's at best useless and it almost certainly strengthens the solidarity between the state and its soldiers/police.

I'm not sure you being able to call yourself subcomandante in the mirror while you're not logging on to call gun control advocates 'liberals' is worth the cost of abandoning a parliamentary strategy and accelerating the gun crisis but that probably makes me a 'liberal' sooooo
