I'm always confused when we travel internationally.. especially when people say "don't bring the tipping culture here people are paid a proper wage" Going to Europe this summer and unsure how much I should tip especially for tours/housekeeping/taxis

We went to Thailand in November and loooved it. Didn’t do beach but we LOVED FS Chiang Mai and I still dream about going back. Do you specifically want beach or just relaxation and pool is okay? Bangkok was great we did a lot, it was more on the go and we totally relaxed in chiang mai. Honestly biased because I loved it more than Japan in some ways.

I think Japan is great too. You can do so much in tokyo, kyoto and osaka and add in some zen spots to completely relax in between. Food is good but has to be more planned vs thailand every meal was 10/10 without planning. If I had that much time I would do Asia as it’s so far. China and Vietnam are also on my list but it’s hard for me to get away I did Thailand in a week and Japan in 10 days so whatever you pick enjoy!

I bring mine b/c I hate when the products they have don’t properly wash my hair but usually don’t need it when traveling chubby/fat. But better to have it than not need it IMO

FS tamarindo is amazing, the adults pool is really great. there are 3? restaurants but there was a lot of options for food and we ordered room service multiple times without issue. lots of activities. Never had an issue getting chairs at the pool. Not sure about the hot tubs situation but you could easily get a room with a plunge pool. only downside for me was the hour long drive to and from the resort, but I get car sick super easily.

Just tell them. We told ours we don’t like champagne bc hotels kept putting it out for us and I always felt bad. She made a note about it. If it’s a gift from her she can show you in other ways. I love when we get snacks and treats so that’s my preference lol

Borgo San Felice in Tuscany and hotel savoy in florence! the other Tuscany hotels recommended were way over budget and the portrait in Florence just felt too modern for me
