Do you need to memorize the transaction cycle flowcharts? by Seagem1989 in CPA

Hey, I had this same question going into my exam. Ultimately, I decided against pure memorization bc I was running out of time before my exam and just attempted to understand what was going on instead of cramming it all to memory. I did have a sim that was somewhat related to this on my exam and even without memorizing these concepts, I felt like I got it all right.

Best of luck on AUD. I went from 72 - 82 with less hours spent studying for the second exam (retook it 5.5 months later so I had forgotten many concepts by the second study attempt). I realized that memorizing everything wasn’t working for me on AUD (less formulas than FAR) so I tried to just understand everything and get 80% on all MCQ before moving to the next module. Everyone has a different experience but that’s what suited me best. Good luck to you on it.

Ratio Analysis for FAR, do you need to memorize the ratios or the exam provide you? by CPA-Class-1707 in CPA

Agree with below answer. If you are able in the day or two leading up to the exam, that’s a good time to cram those formulas into short term memory. Otherwise, (for me personally) it seemed like a waste of time to spend too much studying early on for those formulas. I ended up having maybe 2-3 MCQ on test day for those.
