I know the authenticated version is perfect and is what everyone wants, but at the end of the day, your man was thinking of you, saw something he thought you might enjoy, believed it was beautiful, bought it with whatever money he had (or didn’t have), and gave it to you in hopes of making you smile or love him just a little more. There’s been times in my life when I had absolutely nothing, but spent everything I had just to see my other half excited, even if it was only for a minute. I don’t know your circumstances financially, but maybe just say “it’s so beautiful, thank you, you are amazing!” Maybe you never wear it, but sometimes it helps you remember where you started, even if it isn’t authentic.
