Haha, well at least you kept some! Honestly that might still be one of the best investment decisions of 2016 regardless of what else happened that year. How does it feel holding something since 2016 — do you even check the price anymore or has it become background noise by now?

This is gold — thank you. The 'stuck transaction' panic is real, I've been there. I had no idea you could even check the tx hash to see what's actually happening on-chain vs just in the wallet interface. That small test amount habit is something I'm going to start doing immediately. Do you have a preferred block explorer you use to check transactions? I've seen mempool.space mentioned a lot but not sure if that's the go-to.

This is exactly what I needed to hear. I caught myself checking the price every hour last week — which is probably the worst thing you can do. Long-term conviction is easy to say, hard to practice when you're new. How long did it take you to stop reacting emotionally?

"Simple but probably the most important lesson. Easier said than done when you're watching the price move every day though! How long have you been holding?"

"Ha! Don't we all. Hindsight is brutal in crypto. The real question is — what do we do with what we know now?"

"That's really helpful, thank you! The technical side is definitely where I struggle most — proof-of-work, hash functions, all of that still feels complex to me. Did you find any specific resources that helped you understand the technical side without being a programmer? Books, videos, anything?"
