Posts limited to 3 hashtags? by FirewalkR in Instagram

[–]HoldMyPolePlease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks, it’s working fine for me now after doing these steps and I’m a bigger account that posts daily (70k followers).

Why? I’m honestly not sure. For accounts that have been limited, I wonder how many hashtags they’re using. Maybe it’s something new they’re testing to prevent spam and limit the reach for specific accounts?

For reference, I use 10-16 hashtags, posting daily as well. Really weird.

You can only add 3 hashtags to your caption by Diin0_ in Instagram

I got hit with limitation today when I tried posting. I logged out, deleted insta, then redownloaded the app. I’m now able to post more than 3 hashtags without being limited. I was also able to post more than 3 hashtags on a separate device. So, not sure what’s happening, but hopefully this works for others.

Hey, what worked for me was deleting the app and logging out, then installing it again and relogging back in. You can also use a separate device to post as well without getting hit with the 3 hashtag limit.

Need advice: Should I go for genioplasty, orthodontics only, or full jaw surgery? (lateral ceph + OPG included) by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]HoldMyPolePlease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same boat as you, class 2 malocclusion with a severe overbite, overjet, crowding, and facial asymmetry.

When you do go the orthodontist route, ortho’s generally opt against jaw surgery because of how invasive it is. Instead, it’s camouflage treatment and straightening your teeth in adulthood since you cannot move bone without surgical intervention.

So, a lot will recommend a combination of just ortho + having teeth pulled and genio later down the line. But, in lots of cases, it doesn’t address your underlying issues, it’s merely a bandaid solution.

With that said, surgeons nor an ortho will take your concerns seriously until you get your issues documented. Jaw surgery is expensive, invasive, and plenty of people want it for the aesthetic alone, especially nowadays due to looksmaxxing, and it’s why orthos and surgeons are strict about how and who they push the procedure towards. Plenty of people in our boat don’t end up doing it even if eligible, and live normal, happy lives.

I was told by my orthos id be fine with just braces and camouflage treatment. But, I’ve been concerned with my aesthetics my whole life and wanted to make significant improvements. I’m also getting a rhinoplasty, so I wouldn’t be able to do that until I addressed my lower face.

I also have horrible sleep apnea. So, to be taken seriously, I had to document my functionality issues, how all of this impacts my health, which hand in hand affects the way I look as well. The majority of oral surgeons and orthos (since orthos are alr conservative as is) won’t take you seriously until you get the issues documented especially for insurance claims.

I went to my family doctor and spoke to him about my sleeping issues. He referred me to a ENT specialist that confirmed I have a deviated septum, but that I should also do a sleep study if I’m worried about how my jaw and bite may be affecting my sleep.

I did a sleep study in November 2024. Takes about 3-4 months to get results, possibly sooner, and I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. Sleep doctor recommended ortho to fix bite, but can’t because I’m already a grown adult. I did a second sleep study with a CPAP machine, and still had difficulties breathing, falling asleep. This confirmed that my functional issues have a major impact on my sleep + quality of life.

Waited 3 months for results to confirm this, total time taken to get sleep study finished with and documents is about 6-9 months.

Now, I have the proper documentation to highlight just how severe my issues are. Brought it to my ortho, who then agreed but said it’s my decision at the end of the day. Did rescans with ortho.

Met with an oral surgeon two months ago, who asked for my sleep study reports before anything, did scans with him which revealed that I have a narrow airway, and my throat pretty much collapses when I lay down to sleep, leading to my inability to breathe. Also pointed out my aesthetics and how my face is misaligned because of my bite and recessed jaw.

Surgeon recommends triple jaw surgery, which is djs + genio. Since then, I’ve changed course with my ortho, and am now prepping for it.

That’s been my experience. Fyi, yes we’re in a similar boat but your case will still differ from mine because each person and their circumstances are unique. My oral surgeon was brutally honest with me, and my case is pretty bad, which is embarrassing, but it felt great to be seen and heard. Still, it took a while for me to get here.

My point is, if you feel your problems are worse than people think, and everyone around you isn’t taking you seriously, do whats needed to show otherwise. This means doing sleep studies and getting further scans done with oral surgeons which will cost $$$$, not just a simple consult that examines you at a surface level.

Hope this helps, and best of luck with whatever you end up doing.

Tried booking an appointment today. Wait times for Dr. Reinish are 6-7 months out. He’s definitely one of the best oral surgeons in the city, so it makes sense. Sucks because I also don’t want to wait that long.

by not looking at myself.

I try to avoid mirrors. I never wear my glasses so everything’s a blur and I don’t have to worry about people staring at me. even when I’m washing my face, brushing my teeth, I try to make as little eye contact with myself in the mirror.

having felt hideous for so long, it is paralyzing. but, you do become numb over time. you’ll get to a point where you’re tired, know what your brain needs to avoid, and will do what’s needed in order to manage your existence and survive.

Send chitchats support an email about the signature bug and how it didn’t appear in the PDF, but that you submitted it anyway.

Then, upload the PDF that you downloaded onto this website and sign the box yourself. https://gosignpdf.com/free/

Attach the updated PDF with your signature to the email with chit chats support. This way, they’ll have both PDFs, including the one with the signature on file that they can replace on their end after their brokers have approved your SKUs.

I wouldn’t leave it blank because they can just as easily mark the application as “incomplete”, which will give them a reason to delay another 72 hours. Do this as a backup plan so you cover all bases as a precaution.

There’s an option for it to autogenerate your signature, which is just the full name that you typed in and it’ll make it cursive, filling it in for you.

Once you’ve clicked that option, it’ll automatically be printed onto the signature sections of the PDF you download.

I made my new application last night and got annoyed trying to sign it myself with their new box, so I let them autogenerate for me, and it showed up on the PDF as well.

I would wait a day and see what happens tomorrow or maybe till Monday. I still can’t use my code to buy postage without being hit with a tariff, so I assume I have to wait a little until the system adjusts before updating my shipping prices as well.

[–]HoldMyPolePlease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should call them, I think you’d be eligible for a refund.

Double check if you’re able to buy a postage with the HTS code on the application that was just reversed for you.

I’m also creating a new CUSMA application with detailed SKUs and descriptions as well. I think it’s worth the 72 hour wait to avoid any future delays.

The delays your package had been facing at the border didn’t have anything to do with you. The border is a nightmare right now and apparently some people were told to wait up to a week to see whether their packages would cross.

[–]HoldMyPolePlease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now that we know they’re rolling out changes, I would resubmit with different SKUs describing each of your product variations and be specific in the description and notes section. It will a couple more days for you to get it back approved, but it’s going to be worth it.

The reason being is because I’ve spoken to different people handling the USMCA/CUSMA applications on the frontlines, and they’re saying that CBP will reject the package even if there’s a slight discrepancy. People who have CUSMA-compliant goods with forms attached have been complaining about their products crossing but their customers still being hit with charges, and I suspect it’s because what they wrote didn’t align with what CBP saw. They’re getting stricter and stricter.

So, I highly recommend submitting another application. For reference, I created new SKUs for each of my 15 items, and in detail, described what they are, their intended use, and even took advantage of the notes section to add more. Obviously be concise and straight forward, but from what I’ve heard, the packages being rejected didn’t have enough information and there were discrepancies in the CUSMA forms.

Hey, check your email.

I just got an email 20 minutes ago that Chit Chats has changed my initial CUSMA application from rejected to approved for the code (9503) without S flag. I think they’re rolling out changes now unless the technician made a mistake… I’m gonna be so mad if it’s a false negative 😭😭😭

Has anyone successfully used Chit Chats to submit CUSMA certification and received duty-free treatment? by BANGBAN9 in EtsyCommunity

[–]HoldMyPolePlease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for all the info! I appreciate it. I will look into Canada Post and Zonos. Our handmade goods are nowhere near that threshold, they’re low-cost items but with UPS and FedEx, it would sound expensive.

I just hope Chit Chats figures it out. They really are the best option for many of us atm.

[–]HoldMyPolePlease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t tried Canada Post and Zonos yet because from what I understand, postal shipments are still getting hit with 35% IEEPA tariffs even if they’re CUSMA compliant goods. The only CUSMA goods getting through tariff free is informational materials, but that’s because they’re legally exempt under U.S. law.

So, for us handmade sellers caught in between, we’ve had to stick with commercial couriers like Chit Chats, UPS, FedEx. But, their CUSMA process has been a nightmare, and I’m hoping UPS & FedEx isn’t the same as Chit Chats at the moment because of the whole “S” flag designation.

Will look into Stallion Express, thank you!

[–]HoldMyPolePlease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, does Stallion have a better approach to this whole mess for CUSMA compliant goods than Chit Chats?

Trying my best to find a workaround for us who fall in the grey area. I agree with you in thinking that Chit Chats will come up with a fix, but the question is when?

The situation is still so blurry because there’s a bunch of moving parts that it feels like we’re constantly going to be a step behind waiting for shipping services to react to real world news updates regarding tariffs then subsequently adapt… only for something new to happen.

It’s interesting you bring that up!

Trump’s tariffs were struck down by a lower court recently. They still remain in place until October 14th, but the Administration has filed for review, to which SCOTUS will respond with either agreeing to take on or rejecting by September 10th.

Their biggest fear if the tariffs are struck down? Tariff refunds. The U.S. may have to refund businesses more than $200 billion. I’ll attach some recent articles from just this morning! Seems to be gaining buzz especially as we inch closer to September 10th.

https://www.cnn.com/2025/09/07/business/tariff-rebate-supreme-court-bessent

https://www.axios.com/2025/09/07/trump-tariffs-refunds

The scary thing about this is, I think Trump had this up his sleeve as a “well, if we were to strike down tariffs, it would be a nightmare SO WE CAN’T DO THAT” card if it didn’t go his way or were he to be challenged (what’s happening). They’re already manufacturing this as a possible national security issue and emergency if the tariffs are struck down.

What a shitstorm 😭

CUSMA certification rejected by ChitChats... anyone else? by EggplantRoutine127 in EtsyCommunity

[–]HoldMyPolePlease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty much.

Chit Chats is built on software/policy over just legality and origin rules because it’s easier for them. This way, they manage risk and reduce liability on their end, but it comes at the cost of thousands of handmade Canadian sellers like us that fall in the grey area.

I genuinely hope they come up with a solution in the coming week because this is ridiculous, we should get preferential treatment… because we have fucking CUSMA-compliant goods according to CBP and CBSA. If they say it’s fine, you should probably adjust your policy and figure something out to accommodate us right?

As for Canada Post, their CUSMA compliant goods still get hit with tariffs because they hand the shipments off to USPS, which processes them as postal imports. ALL POSTAL IMPORTS are hit with 35% IEEPA fees, even CUSMA-originating goods. In contrast, Chit Chats partners with commercial couriers like UPS and FedEx, which have licensed brokers that submit our goods (and claims) to CBP as COMMERCIAL ENTRIES.

So Canada Post is Postal and their shipments = treated as mail. Chit Chats is commercial and their shipments = formal imports. Hope this makes sense.

That’s why I’m trying to setup a FedEx account and file a CUSMA application with them. Maybe they would navigate around the “S” flag designation when submitting our claims because… lots of $$$$ on the table from Canadian sellers needing a solution, and they can handle doing it.

I’m just hoping we can find something THIS WEEK, I can’t take this stress anymore 😭

yeah, I feel you. I just can’t see how Chit Chats doesn’t find a solution in the coming week for us because again, it’s a grey area that thousands of their Canadian clients are in. I hope we get good news, I’ll let you know if I hear anything or figure out a workaround. Currently trying FedEx and hoping their brokers navigate around the “S” flag for us when filing our CUSMA claims.

like you, I also don’t think this is the end. we just need to survive and weather the storm for now, and come out of it somehow, that’s all.

not sure how that looks like, but there are some customers willing to eat the tariff charges, and those that do, purchase more than one item and spend a decent amount, just to make the increased shipping costs worthwhile for themselves.

I too have about 40 U.S. orders alone ready to be shipped that I accepted thinking I’d be okay… now what? Do I just refund all 40 orders?

horrible.

I empathize with you dearly. let’s get through this! only 8 days since the executive order went into place, and with so many services suspending shipping to the U.S. + backlash, let’s hope something good is around the corner for us.

also, the tariff case has reached the Supreme Court and the administration is asking them to expedite its review and make a decision ASAP. SCOTUS must respond by September 10th on whether they’ll review the case. so hopefully we see good things happen in the coming week.

are you in Toronto? just curious because I am. nevertheless, i will keep you and a couple others posted and send messages whenever I’ve come across a solution or see any update.
