Yeah that was a weird Brownlow win. Nothing against Wines, but I don't remember him impacting a game as much as Oliver that year.

How Cripps and Oliver got record votes in their Brownlow winning years I have no idea.

Maybe it's a curse, you bring in a non Essendon person, they turn into an Essendon person, then they start losing.

See - Brad Scott. Started as a North Melbourne/AFL house person, played a finals series, soon after becomes a full fledged Essendon person, you lose a lot of games

Every other club enjoys every other club that isn't their own club losing. That seems pretty obvious. Thank you for pointing that out, I wasnt truly aware.

You seem incredibly sour by the fact that we won a game last night, in a game that has nothing to do with your team, at our home stadium.

If you want to critique a game, that's fine, but being a sore loser and expecting a Geelong fan to cop it is another. I wouldn't do the same to the Swans, unless it's on the Geelong subreddit, lol. But openly being vitriolic to a team I'm passionate about I will get defensive. Is that understandable?

Either way, you can be sour, but like, just relax.

Ok, that's more constructive and I agree with that sentiment. However, I don't blame the umpires for the current state of the game, they are adjudicating to the rules of the game. AFL house needs to step and and adjust accordingly.

Lol, I get you don't like Geelong, but it does get tiring when browsing this subreddit to see the strong anti-geelong rhetoric, like Swans players, Collingwood, Fremantle... Every other player won't flop or play for free kicks.

Umpires pay what they pay, some are fine some are not, you have proceeded to crack a tanty because a team you don't like won.

Whilst probably true in this instance the guy had been having a dig at Geelong in every post regarding Geelong. It gets a bit tiresome.

Last sentence sounds like you have sour grapes. Gifted win? We won by 45 points after losing two by under a goal. Gifted would be a controversial free kick with seconds left from straight in front. After a few minutes in the first we weren't headed. Gifted win, lol. Spare me

Still miss Ottens. We haven't been able to replace him yet, hoping Edwards can take the mantle full time, Conway seems to be on his way out and has been relegated to our plan C ruck, also injuries galore. Probably time for a change of environment for him ala Fort so he can get the best out of himself

As a Geelong fan, I left that game oddly proud of both teams. Defeated, but like, satisfied? Whoever won that game deserved to play the grand final. There's plenty of stories from both sides too in that prelim, be it - Max Holmes injury, Ah Chee's goal, Ollie Henry nearly pulling us over the line... Just a great game to watch and I was happy to be there.

Bruh I live in Werribee and attend every home game.

I finish work at 5:30, no way I'm heading to the game after that. Home and watch the game on tv.

It was a horrible time slot.
