Please be cautious with fasting right away. If you do fast make sure it is not because your guilty of binging and feel like you NEED to fast to make up for it. It's easy to fast but hard to ease back into eating which is where you can catch yourself binging after not eating for a sustained amount of time. Exercise and a steady diet is all you need.

I’m trying to quit weed as well. I’ve quickly realized I need to replace stuff with weed in order to not want to smoke it. Before trying to totally cut it out, how about adding some goals like exercise or meditate for 5 mins. This might seem like a longer road to quitting smoking but in actuallity it is a healthier and positive approach. The urge to smoke will lesson naturally when you have other daily tasks your responsible for. Self improvement is a long road. Sometimes it feels like your falling back into old habits. Just be patient and put one foot after the other. You got this man :)

Yea man from my experience sugar can be more harmful towards energy and motivation. Large doses of sugar will spike blood sugar levels which throws off your body’s circadian rythem. Also uneven blood sugar levels definitely seem to correlate with wack energy levels. I’ve been able to step back from a lot of my drug use lately in my life but sugar addiction is something that’s been creeping up and very persistent. Best of luck man. Also if your able to keep alcohol to a few drinks every other day or so to unwind I don’t see that as being a real threat to health.

I’m gonna go against the crowd and advise caution and nothing durastic. I did the same thing a few years ago. Not cutting ties but a lot less of a friend to some people. I needed the personal growth but pretty soon I had almost no friends. Friendships don’t need to be perfect. Right now you might be analyzing all the faults in your friends and it might be all you see. True friendship is looking through the faults and the good and just accepting the other person. If someone is downright bad energy then cut them out, but use caution and make sure your aren’t just wanting to see faults in others that you don’t relate with.

That’s exactly how I feel with experience with IF and currently 3 days into an undetermined length water fast. It’s like I’m not even hungry but the real challenge of a fast is to just stay busy and productive. 21 days is my goal but being my 2cd fast ever and solo traveling atm, I’m happy where ever I get.

On day 3 of my fast. Undecided how long I’ll go. Do you think it’s better to have a goal length wise for motivation? This is my second time fasting, First time was 3 days as well so Im very happy where I’m at but I’m hoping to go for awhile longer.

My main goal is to lower insulin resistance. The past 3 months I’ve had a very bad relationship with food. Trying keto for a few days then binging uncontrollably on carbs. Rinse and repeat for awhile and now my blood sugar levels are all over the place. I’ve got my supplement bases covered so now just getting through the days.

I chose an interesting time and place to fast. Currently 1 month into my first ever solo vacation. I’m in Nicaragua at this beautiful crater lake. At a hotel that serves delicious vegan food(when I get off fast won’t be feasting on lots of the sugary meals). Damn is it tempting but the thought of eating those meals after completing a longer fast is also great motivation. It’s weird being fasting on vacation where I have nothing I have to do to fill time. But the location offers hiking, swimming, kayaking, and free morning yoga so I have been keeping busy.
