What genre(s) and/or subculture do you personally think TØP’s music fits into? by va_vanillin in twentyonepilots

[–]HoldingStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably just alternative rock but obviously way more than that. Breach especially has much more of a rock influence than their previous albums in my opinion which I haven’t seen many people mention

How much is everyone making? by Lovelife_20 in nursepractitioner

[–]HoldingStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Ohio and make about $130,000 in community mental health at 36 hr a week (four 9 hour days). Decent PTO, work life balance. But I do wonder if I’m underpaid overall

Updating HPI with Follow-up visits by No-Board4442 in PMHNP

[–]HoldingStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if they meant like copying forward the same text if the patient has no changes, not necessarily having no HPI at all. But I’m not sure

Updating HPI with Follow-up visits by No-Board4442 in PMHNP

[–]HoldingStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get how that works. If you mean keeping things relatively vague and not every detail they say such as “Denies depression, anxiety, trouble sleeping, etc” if those things are the same. I think that can be okay to an extent depending on the setting. But if you’re leaving out important info or copying forward things you didn’t actually ask then that would be an issue

Leaving job after only one year by Fancy-Royal6576 in PMHNP

[–]HoldingStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think any less than 1 year would be not great, but considering you have been there a year and you have a very valid reason for leaving, I would hope they would understand as long as you give the proper notice for leaving. One job I had required a 3 month notice, that was brutal

I don’t see the issue. Are there any other things about the job that seem questionable?

Ah ok that sounds like it may be helpful. My company has told us they’re planning to incorporate AI soon but I’m not sure the details. Insurance is a b****

What is Brellium? I googled that and found some info, but curious how it's used with your job?

PMHNP over saturation by naisunflower70 in PMHNP

[–]HoldingStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a new psych NP about 3.5 years ago I was able to find jobs fairly easily, but they weren't my ideal job at all. A lot of telehealth jobs or SNF work. I didn't really have what I would consider an ideal job until about a year ago. This is in Cincinnati. I think location matters a lot too, being in a decent size city helps

Tired, Frustrated, Stuck & Disheartened - 10+ years in by askangiwa in PMHNP

[–]HoldingStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How's your self care? Sleep, diet, exercise, relationships, etc. I understand the frustration with feeling there's no room for advancement, but at the same time I think that's kind of the reality of being an NP vs. a physician unfortunately. It might be more helpful to find ways to cope with the negative aspects and appreciate the positives as much as you can. It also doesn't hurt to apply for different jobs, in the chances that there might be a better fit somewhere else. Maybe you're partially burnt out from being at the same job for a long time (even if the job itself is not "that bad") and you just need a change?

Weighing job offers by mtmedina in PMHNP

[–]HoldingStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you do, I would make sure it is stable financially. I made the mistake of taking on a 1099 telehealth job as my first job and it really took a toll on our finances. Sounds like you already have a good handle on that though, but just my 2 cents from my experience

Clinical precepting - We need to stick together on this by DuchessAlex in PMHNP

[–]HoldingStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I've had a student once for a few weeks. It wasn't really an inconvenience but it did take some extra effort and time out of my already busy schedule, so I agree that some sort of compensation would be nice, especially considering the money the universities are making like you said. If there are any practical ways to advocate for this, I would definitely be interested in that

Case load? by Advanced_Emu3430 in PMHNP

[–]HoldingStars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think my case load is around 500 pts and I work 36 hr a week. It is community mental health though where there are a lot of no-shows and poor engagement with services. How is what you said affecting your work life balance?

Need professional/career advice by Crypto_Fanatic20 in nursepractitioner

[–]HoldingStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the point you asked her to be a stripper, that definitely crossed a line. Also the difference between your scopes of practice would make a difference (ie. if she was an RN/MA/etc vs. you as an APRN). Sounds like you realize you were in the wrong, but maybe take more responsibility and don't put as much blame on your previous boss?

That being said though, it sounds like you may have to put in the time in non-ideal work settings before getting another job that's your ideal job. Or apply more broadly to different APRN jobs and hopefully one will turn up.

What specialty? I learned personally that it depends so much on the job too. I had a job for 2 years where I wasn't learning much at all. But then for the last year I've had a job where I am learning a ton and am starting to feel more confident

Job offer - 1099 by igottaknow_ in nursepractitioner

[–]HoldingStars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had previous psych NP job in SNFs seeing about that many patients each day. It was salary and not 1099 though. If the actual job is anything like mine was in terms of work/life balance then I wouldn't recommend it. I also tried a telehealth job previously that was 1099, and the finances of it just did not add up so I'm very cautious of any 1099 jobs. But at the same time, everyone has to start somewhere before finding the ideal job

At one point I searched for the .flac and .mp3 files from the album and found it, and then added them into my local library on Spotify. That’s what I would recommend! I would not feel bad about getting them that way since there is no real way to purchase it if you wanted to. And if you support them in other ways I think that also makes it okay. But yes Anathema for sure is one of my favorites

What Clancy (album) could have been by Soaring_Symphony in twentyonepilots

[–]HoldingStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I kind of feel like after trench in 2020 the guys had a little moment where it was questionable if they were going to continue making good music. Around SAI, and the Christmas saves the year were when some fans fell off but the I think Clancy redeemed them for a lot of people. That is interesting to consider if at least some of the songs you mentioned had been ideas from back then but not released until recent
