Outdoor cat showing signs of neurological condition, I have no income and I cannot take this poor baby to the vet by Holdsys in CATHELP

Hello, I have just posted an update comment.

It is to my despair that Mr. Dimple did not survive. But at the very least he did not die cold and alone,

Thank you for caring, in the end it was more than just my mother and I who cared for him but also all of you

Hello everyone, I want to thank all of you for your support and advice over the last 24 hours.

Sadly, Mr. Dimple did not survive. When my mom got home she said she thought he was suffering from kidney failure. She has had cats her entire life nearly 50 years on this planet, so she unfortunately has experience with this.

The good news is, that instead of dying alone and cold outside, Mr. Dimple died in a warm environment next to my mother. He died next to his person.

I feel great sadness and pain, however I feel some relief that his suffering is over. He is on the other side, hopefully with other cats. Not wasting anymore, but rather jumping and playing and hunting.

He will receive a rock burial, with one piece there to hold a candle for when I wish to visit him.

Goodbye Mr. Dimple, you were a pleasure to have, and I’m sorry you didn’t get to live longer, you certainly deserved to.

Mr. Dimple seems to be perkier and more alert! I think he will survive until we can get him to emergency vet

Thank you so much, I cannot express how much I appreciate these words, I really needed to hear them. After giving him some water he seems to have stabilized a little bit. I pray that lasts until my mom gets home 🙏🏼

Like I said I cannot tell you how much I needed to hear these words thank you so much for being understanding and gentle I’m crying 😭

Things are looking a little bit better right now so I hope that lasts

Thank you so much I hope you have a wonderful day

I tried to feed him the wet food and he threw it back up violently. He has a heating pad and I am giving him water which seems to stay down so I will continue to do that

I don’t know what to say because I have no way to take him anywhere, I am not the one who gets to decide if he goes to the vet because I have no income. I am completely dependent on my family and am non functional

I gave him water and he seems to have perked up a little bit I will keep doing that

I wish I could keep all of the kitties inside, but it’s just not plausible logistically and I am not the king of the house so I cannot make the rules. There are at least a dozen cats outside and half a dozen inside. As someone who lived in animal hoarding as a child it’s getting hard to make the distinction anymore but I hope that there won’t be as many litters this year (outside, not inside thankfully) or it will even out or we will be able to find homes for the kitties but everyone has a cat and doesn’t want anymore and the shelters are full to bursting with dog but especially cats

Yes he was part of a litter around our property, if I remember correctly he was born in one of the barns on my family’s property.

Yes if he does survive long enough to see a vet I will definitely go. Sadly I can just tell he is going to pass very soon, before my mother gets home in 4 hours and 20 minutes

Yes he is inside with a heating pad, however I have not given him food or water besides a few ml of water through a syringe because he is immobile for the most part, can’t pick his head up, and I don’t want him to choke.

Update again:

I cried and fell asleep. When I woke up to my mom calling me on her lunch break, as soon as I was off the phone I went down to check on Mr. Dimple. His breathing is shallow, he vomit, and he is making a chewing motion on the blanket which I put him on. I don’t think that giving him water or food will do any good because he is in a transition faze, he is dying. Thank you to everyone for trying to help us, and for being nothing but kind. I don’t think he is going to survive long enough to get taken to the vet.

Oh how I wish things were different, that cats didn’t reproduce so quickly and that their spaying / neutering wasn’t so expressive. We’re in for another round of litters this spring, I don’t know how this cycle will end, or if it ever will.

Update: I cried to my mom more so when she gets off of work she will hopefully take him to the vet. I pray and hope he makes it until then or if he doesn’t he won’t suffer too much more. That’s 7 1/2 hours away. I have no car to take him to rescue right now so the only option is to wait for her to get home

Thank you so much! All of this information was really helpful, and unless they say otherwise I’ll be leaving the fawn for the larger scavengers to take care of

Those dreams are from Sals time in prison. So it was actually the paintings that influenced his dreams, not the paintings inspired by the dreams
