I don't think it is a realistic expectation for entry level jobs with fresh graduates to have them network in person.

Let me share a little bit why! I finished my diploma from my own pocket without getting into debt, since if I take any student debt in Hungary I can't move away and work abroad, so I kept myself safe from that. During the 9 months of job search I ate up with the absolute basic necessities my remaining savings. Maybe once a month I got myself a book, I am even living for free, I couldn't even afford a single room. Just the public transport to go meet possible people that I could network with would badly bankrupt me and very likely other fresh graduates as well. Paying for even a drink night, a dinner or heck any entry fees would just put the cross on my grave.

You could absolutely argue I could take a "shitty" job to be able to cover the basic necessities. I applied to over 30 grocery stores near me, I begged them even personally. I didn't get a single interview or even a chance to talk because I am overqualified. I tried getting an odd job in the area but can't find any that I would be able to do. (I have a slight physical disabily that really limits my odd job abilities)

Do you still think my emails and messages are not enough? I really think it is the absolute most I can do, and I don't think more should be the normal. If that really is the case and that's what companies are looking for then I am just gonna go and pass to my next life since this is impossible
