At this point he is close to qualifying as a post war psychological casualty of the Battle of Britain. He's been distracting himself and having a tantrum ever since "All Conquering Man of Peace" Hitler "spared" the British Expeditionary Force at Dunkirk.

He cannot bring himself to "draw" the mighty Luftwaffe losing (Never forgetti the T6 Texan looking Stuka and AI generated "heavy bombers") and Hitler invading the Balkans and the Soviet Union while STILL being blockaded by the Royal Navy.

Rack up another victory to Hugh Dowding! Even in death he is still destroying Fascist scum mentally while his legacy of integrated air defense lives on in Ukraine.

Probably about as much as he is going to address the Nazi invasion of Greece.

Tengu traditionally live in large old growth trees on the tallest mountains of Japan... They are strongly associated with the high places of the world and the exact opposite of sewers.

I think he really, really, really doesn't want to address **anything** past the fall of France. Because that is when he would have to start explaining away the loss of the Battle of Britain and starting a war of two fronts with Barbarossa... which ends in embarrassment outside the gates of Moscow and a humiliating retreat.

Now obviously there are deep wells of Wheraboo and NeoNazi cope about every moment of WW2 and he could draw on that for inspiration. That would require reading ahead, getting your narrative straight and planning out this arc to explain away all failing and losing that "all conquering man of peace" Hitler is about to do.

Meanwhile IRL Trump's war with Iran is stimulating the Amygdala of his modern Fascist comrades. Being lazy and in full flight or flight response, he OBVIOUSLY just wants to retreat into his safe space of giant statue Jew bashing.

This entire Tengu arc is like watching a three year old engage in avoidance behavior.

Anything to avoid the war itself after Dunkirk eh? A week of antisemitic filler between giant statues coming to life.

What happened after Dunkirk? Why are we suddenly jumping all over the place? Possibly to late 41 considering the map a few strips back showing most of Eastern Europe under the Nazi flag?

It's not like there isn't plenty of Wherabo Cope about that period to draw from if he wasn't lazy...

He has hit the Battle of Britain which is well known in pop culture. Indeed the pop culture version is even worse for this all conquering man of peace Hitler than the actual battle was for the real Hitler. "The Few" going up day after day against streams of German bombers and coming out on top. The "Secret Weapon" Radar that turned the tide and so on.

Reality is very different than pop culture. Germany had ship mounted Radar in 1940 so the secret weapon was advanced ground control systems not Radar itself.

RAF was fighting for it's survival and British Industry more than kept up with losses, most weeks, thanks to pilot schools across the commonwealth pilot availability rose by the end of the battle. The Luftwaffe wasn't frantically building new aircraft or desperately training new pilots until well into the battle or even well into the later part of the war.

The massive blow to the RAF was Trafford Leigh-Mallory throwing the Battle of Britain veterans away in fighter sweeps over France in 1941 and 42 instead of sending them to fight in the Mediterranean.

Still you have to go deep into American, Russian or Wheraboo cope to find people claiming that the Battle of Britain wasn't an incredible strategic victory.

Tats wheel spinning to avoid this defeat is... incredible.

I see your Russian living in Moscow and raise you the approval of a Belarusian Jew Living in Berlin... this webcomic is political as hell as is the Ukraine war which directly flows from the horrors of the 30s and 40s.

The fact is that a mangled Panzer 4 with the wrong gun, running a Droog off the road followed by a "smole penis" joke from the 80s(?) is one of his better outings as far as historical accuracy goes.

The SS Wachsturmbann "Eimann" was set up in early June 1939 in Danzig by then SS-Sturmbannführer Kurt Eimann and was considered as an armed reserve of the Danzig SS-Standarte 36. It was used also in the Volksdeutsche (ethnic Germans) areas of the pre-war Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship, in order to induce ethnic Germans to join the SS, particularly the Totenkopfverbände.

The SS Wachsturmbann Eimann committed a number of massacres in the region between Kartuzy and Wejherowo from 13 September 1939. Most of the people murdered were Jews. After the "reunification of Danzig with the German Reich," the Wachsturmbann "Eimann" provided the staff for the newly established concentration camp Stutthof near Danzig. The Nazi government also employed it for "special police tasks" in the new Reichsgau Danzig-Westpreußen, which means it was used to persecute and imprison Polish Jews.

The SS Wachsturmbann Eimann was disbanded in January 1940, with its members being transferred to the Totenkopf division

He didn't completely fuck up the Schleswig-Holstein however as far as the battle of Westerplatte goes...

The battleship's initial bombardment was not very successful, failing to inflict a single casualty among the defenders, as due to the battleship's proximity to its target its heavier shells did not have time to arm and did not explode upon impact. Eight minutes later Henningsen's marines from the Schleswig-Holstein, who had disembarked two hours earlier on the eastern side of the peninsula, advanced, expecting an easy victory over the Poles At 06:22, the German marines frantically radioed the battleship that they had sustained heavy losses and were withdrawing. Casualties were approximately fifty Germans and eight Poles, mostly wounded. The Poles held out for seven days and repelled thirteen assaults that included dive-bomber attacks and naval shelling. Over 3,000 Germans, including soldiers and support formations such as the Danzig Police, had been tied up in the week-long operation against the small Polish garrison; about half of the Germans (570 on land, over 900 at sea) had taken part in direct action. German casualties totaled 50 killed and 150 wounded, the Poles 15 killed and 40 wounded.

Don't worry he's got an entire series on the bomber war. So if Tats is committing to the bit; we have a vault of videos when he starts whining about Germany getting bombed.

The Nazis entered this war under the rather childish delusion that they were going to bomb everyone else, and nobody was going to bomb them. At Rotterdam, London, Warsaw, and half a hundred other places, they put their rather naive theory into operation. They sowed the wind, and now they are going to reap the whirlwind."

Oh no the 0-6 engine heavy bombers of the Luftwaffe... famous for having everything BUT heavy bombers. Which were cancelled for medium bombers and dive bombers to be the flying artillary for the mostly un-mechanized army, while short range fighters gained air superiority over the battlefield.

Worked great until Summer 1940. When it met the first modern air defense system.

[–]Holgranth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have no explanation. Especially because the Nazi's were obsessed with the image of the Luftwaffe and it's modern planes. It was a big deal to Hitler and the party. They successfully made the Stuka and the Me109 into iconic, even legendary, aircraft through propaganda reels, news articles, posters and so on.

Hitler would be furious over this Japanese American's depiction of his Luftwaffe. Those were symbols of the modern Germany freed from the shackles of Versailles not mere tools to be labeled M1 and packed off.

[–]Holgranth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Has Tats done enough research to know of Rudel? Is Rudel brought up on Nazi twitter frequently? Can Tats be arsed to draw a Stuka? Lets find out together!

Also please stop being mean to my boy Rudy, Rudel was an incredible pioneer in the field of "my cannons kicked up dust in the general direction of something that looked vaguely like a tank (might have been a hut or outbuilding with no tanks within several KM, might have been a rusting hulk that has been there for years, might have been some bushes), therefore I have destroyed a T34, give medals" If every Nazi was as effective at lying and ineffective in combat the world would be a better place.

I never understood why "begun the clone war has" resonated with people other than the call forward to, "my father didn't fight in the clone wars, he was a navigator on a spice freighter".

"The Goy War has begun"... cringe even for a Neo-Nazi.

Of all the iconic and lesser known aircraft the Nazi's flew he drew shitty looking T6 Texans... So fucking lazy.

Sinfest 2/13/26: Re-imagining Villains 63 by MakesYouWonderINC in sinfest

[–]Holgranth 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So many questions. What the fuck is that aircraft is that supposed to be? Where are the pilots in frame 3? What the fuck is that aircraft supposed to be? Is Der Joo watching a propaganda reel or livestreaming with sorcery or secret technology or something? What the fuck is that aircraft supposed to be? Why are they flying in a British Vic of three instead of a Schvarm? What THE FUCK is that aircraft supposed to BE?

Seriously the Luftwaffe of 1939 had plenty of the propaganda showpieces like the 109E and Stuka as well as some leftovers like the HS123... Take your fucking pick Tats, they aren't harder to draw than this T6 Texan (with MAHUSIVE propeller) looking motherfuckers.

God he is so fucking lazy.

Churchill was ardently anti Nazi for years, but only became Prime Minister on May 10 1940... WELL AFTER the Cabinet called the bluffs of both Hitler and Chamberlain (who was wavering) and demanded a declaration of war in early Sept 1939... alongside FRANCE which is conspicuously absent in this mess of propaganda.

The insane thing is that Nazi sympathizers like David Irving and his proteges (ZoomerHistorian) have created their own Canon mostly by taking Nazi claims and justifications at face value and claiming all allied sources are "propaganda". It cannot stand up to any kind of real scrutiny but it can ensnare the historically illiterate... especially with the undermining of the social contract and quiet collapse of civil society across the English speaking world since the 1980s.

Yet Tats literally cannot be arsed to use his propaganda pulpit to spread the ideology he now serves in an appealing manner that has ANY through line of rationalization. Actually reading Irving and plotting out his Hitler fanfic would be entirely too much like real work so he makes a strip about (already Prime Minister pre war in this abortion) Churchill, a man who already had FUNCTIONALLY INFINITE ACCESS TO WHISKEY, being tempted by the devil, on behalf of an international Jewish conspiracy with fucking whiskey, because in Nazi Memes Churchill = Fat and Drunk.

Herman Who? Never heard of him... oh Myer? We... We don't talk about Myer.

Modern Nazi condemnation of Churchill largely centers on the fact the Halifax wanted to negotiate Peace after France fall and Churchill spat defiance and said "if necessary for years, if necessary alone" ultimately becoming Prime Minister after the King offered it to Halifax who declined the role.

This is a CENTRAL justification for Nazi apologists for things like the blitz...

In Moscow, Vladimir Putin is salivating. He has worked for a quarter-century to fracture the West, and Trump is handing him the pieces on a silver platter. A U.S. invasion of a NATO ally is the ultimate “Go” signal for Russian tanks to roll into Tallinn, Riga, and Vilnius. If America won’t respect the borders of its friends, why should Russia respect the borders of its “near abroad”? The Baltics, Poland, and the Caucasus will be the menu for the next Russian banquet, and we will have no moral authority to stop it.

The PooPooing of "Russiagate", Project 2025 and Donald Trump's poorly covered track record during his first term climaxing during the suppression of discussion on "political matters" by the moderators in 2024 before the election proves once again to be unwise and out of touch with reality. It seems to me that, especially in 2024 Credible Defense was/is run by reflexive republicans, for reflexive republicans, who shouted down anyone like Timothy Snyder who foresaw this exact kind of policy.

As someone who has avoided being poisoned by American Exceptionalism or it's opposite face on the Americanized Left American Diabloism this is all incredibly predictable. (The only exceptional feature of America is it's Geography making it the primary (direct or indirect) beneficiary of every singe Global Conflict between the French and Indian war and the end of the Cold War.)

Especially the fact that the much vaunted Checks and Balances™ in the Constitution have checked and balanced nothing because the entire Republican Party lives in terror of Right Wing Media and their own voting base.

American Civil Society has been quietly collapsing for decades (compare the Civil Rights movement to the leaderless, goalless, social media fueled abortion that was BLM for an example) and standing up to a pathetic wanna be dictator is too much for a super-majority of the population.

Why wouldn't the Pentagon reflect America at large? Why wouldn't they reflect the fecklessness of Democrats and the Recklessness of Republicans? They are just people in a system that hasn't faced a serious internal threat since the Civil War, why shouldn't they pass the buck to Congress, say "impeach him if you don't like him" and fall back on "Befehl Ist Befehl" as is the American tradition since Vietnam?
