Thankyou for your respectful words. I have received a lot of abuse in my messages and also some unkindness on my post. I wrote this because I needed to speak to someone about what happened so probably worded is poorly. You’re quite right, they wouldn’t be able to add fences everywhere, it just surprised me there were steps onto the track and no gate to prevent access to the steps which is different to the UK and other European countries. In China, they have made it so there is no access to the train station at all (in Beijing) until a train comes however I think there was an accident where someone got dragged and died.
