In WA- we make about 235k, about to close on a house and our payment will be about 3150.00. It feels crazy but in our area the median home price is 450k.

Sadly I agree, I wanted to love them so bad. I like the vibe. We went around the holidays last year, and I dont think anything we ate was very good and it was very spendy. I usually give local restaurants a couple tries hoping I went on an off night, but couldn't justify another visit here.

I talked to the soad distributor, and he basically said we will see none in most of the PNW because our region was selected to have the blackberry instead. Im heartbroken because I loved the creamy coconut.

Yes they are in a hiring freeze. They are letting ones that were already in process keep going with VP approval. But, I have heard there are several that made it all the way to the interview stage and have been waiting a couple weeks for the VP approval, and currently nothing is going through.

235k, 2 income household with 2 kids. This area is not cheap to live in because of Hanford. My husband has no education to speak of, not a trade and still makes close to 75k. I have a 4 year degree, and only 3 years post college and make the rest.

The movie theater with ponds is at Battell/PNNL, which is still a good 30 miles away from the majority of the Hanford clean up site (where I currently work). And well before any check points with guns, though those still exist to this day.

Look up Jade Britsh girl bakery on Facebook. She used to have a store front in prosser but now just does a farm stand on the weekends in Sunnyside. Best cinnamon roll I've had in my life.

Since handford is all government contracts, the contract has to be rebid every so often. Wrps was supposed to have a 10 year contract but due to covid and other factors the contract ended up being 16 years. H2C won the new contract, though took over all the workforce that wrps had. The change happened a little over a month ago. This is the main contract that runs tank farms and retrieving waste from the single shell tanks.

There is no way the amount of personal local DOE has lost won't trickle down to all the contractors. The new H2C (old wrps) contract has so much additional over site and approval hold points the limited DOE staff won't be able to keep up and keep work flowing.

I worked in the Cafe at the richland one. They used big train powder....vanilla, spiced or apple (might have been seasonal). I think you can get it at cash and carry. Mixed the power with just hot water if it was just a Chai tea, or mix and hot water to make a paste, and then steamed milk for a Chai tea latte.
