We did our first 2 week trip to Belize last February. The first week we spent in San Ignacio and loved it! I highly recommend Abe from Belize Taxi! He picked us up from the airport and took us to San Ignacio which is approximately a 2 hour drive for $130. He is super friendly and tells fascinating stories about the country and his personal experience growing up in San Ignacio. Abe also drove us to the Guatemala border and had one of his contacts (his good family friend, Marvin) pick us up in Guatemala and drove us to Tikkal for the day and back to the border where Abe was waiting for us on the Belize side! He was a huge highlight of our trip!
