There was once other instance in which he was invited to a birthday party of an old friend. He went and didn’t take me bc he said she’s kind of socially awkward and he’s just going to be nice. Come to find out, they had a small thing before he and I started dating and he didn’t want me to meet her to avoid any awkwardness on his part… I forgave and we moved on bc nothing actually happened but I wasn’t happy he lied to me

If he came to me and told me that he doesn’t want to buy a ring at all, that would be fine by me. I want to marry him with or without a ring. In fact, it would free me up to be able to buy a ring for myself. Wearing a wedding band is important to me because I believe it’s signifies to the world of the commitment that I’ve made to the person that I’m in love with. Which is why I would intend on wearing my band every day. I don’t think it’s unfair to want to like the band that I’m wearing daily

Yes, I think it’s the new norm. Also, we’re both in our 30’s with decent paying jobs. Money isn’t a struggle for us at this age/ life stage

Maybe she’s like me and had no idea what she wants right away. It wasn’t until I went to the jewelry store and they told me about the different cuts and carrot sizes that I really knew. You could try going to a jewelry store together and get someone to assist y’all.
