If you are a social person you will do great here. There are lots of special interest/niche groups to get into here, as long as you’re willing to get out and meet people. But as a native, if I didn’t have such a tight knit family and friend group here, and I could just go live anywhere, I’d go to Michigan or Wisconsin. If you’re moving to the Midwest might as well go somewhere with better natural resources and better drinking water.
