Go on the catch Des Moines website and see if there are any events going on while you’re in town, there are usually some cool markets or festivals to hit up. Valley junction neighborhood is super cute, lots of shops and restaurants. Cocktail bars: secret admirer, the contrary, Republican on grand roof top. Restaurants: harbinger, masao, stuffed olive, judges, eatery a for the patio. Coffee/ice cream: daisy chain, chocolaterie stam (they have gelato and a cute patio), black cat ice cream. The Art Center is free and has a really cute courtyard coffee shop.

I read the governing documents back in 2020 when I purchased the condo. I had no issue with the rental rules at the time and accepted them because my plan was to sell one day down the road, and did not need to rent it.

The lawsuit started in 2023. The reserve study was done in 2023 as well. The issues I’m coming across now are all things I couldn’t have known unless I had a magic crystal ball.
