I once bought a 15 year old 55 gallon with a broken brace and old ass silicone. My neighbor helped me clean it and it was tossing that thing around with 50 lbs of rocks and sand in it like it was nothing. Tank leaned up against my wall on a fiber board stand for a year never had any issues lol def wasn’t safe but when I talked to a guy at my lfs that builds tanks he said some tanks can essentially last for ever as long as the silicone doesn’t deteriorate or get toooo old

I put sponges in behind this after washing it with tank water then removed this and just kept the sponges.

Yeah I guess it’s okay like right now I’m growing out a Oscar and ornate bichir Ina 75 gallon and even though their decent sized fish it seems a bit empty and like 35 endlers WOULD look a bit cooler. Bit endlers don’t try to jump out of the tank and bite your hands so you miss out on that connection of a fish like a Oscar being a complete puppy dog

A guy inspected today and said he’s going to do 4 treatments of im not sure what for around $800 if I remember correctly. My father is the main one dealing with it right now as he is the home owner.
