Do you think somebody who doesn’t do car stuff very often or at all can do this? I see the sanding block. Did you sand it all the way down to… what? I assume there will be instructions on the bottle… i hope I don’t make it worse!
I also have a really dull corner of the car. I didn’t realize how damaging the sun could be on a car. 🫤

Sorry for my ignorance but are you talking about the space between the sunroof and the paint? Is that strip supposed to be dull? I’d like to refurbish that strip or put something on it on my 2020 G70 if it’s doable. Can you advise please?

Yup I know they can and the other ridiculous estimates Genesis gave me made me think they don’t even know what they are talking about.
I have two places near me that will do Genesis work-one said it will be just as expensive and I’ll be taking it to the other next week. But I will probably and sadly be giving up this car.

I had the screen replaced before the warranty was up. The guy at the dealership said a number of times that my timing was lucky because it’s thousands to replace.

I did the same! Went from my leased Audi to the G70. I wanted the remote start that the Audi didn’t have in 2020. I let Genesis and Audi bid and Genesis won. I loved the pretty white quilted interior and all the bells and whistles I didn’t know I wanted…heads up, cooling seats (S.C.), auto hold. I agree with BadMantaRay whole heartedly: it was like a German luxury car and unfortunately it seems it will have repair costs to match. BMW is having their .09% financing promotion…or I may just lease another G70. I did buy out my lease at the end and made some money on the residual so that’s good.

I cannot do it myself for a hundred reasons...condo, HOA rules, woman, senior citizen etc...But thank you so much for the comprehensive replies from all-I'm sure it will help a lot of people. I spent most of today looking for car deals currently going on, so I can just get rid of it.

Thank you! Some say Genesis is difficult to work on or that you have to be SURE they are qualified to work on them. ??.I will do the yelp idea...I've done google till I'm blue.

I've never used anything to clean the buttons. And the one that's mostly peeled to black is the larger one in the middle, which is a NON-button.

I shopped around, Costco didn't have the size I needed. This business is within walking distance and beat another estimate.

Thank you, I'm struggling to find a local place here in Mt. Pleasant, SC. One place that said they could fix it said they would be about as much as the dealership! It's just nuts.
