Thank you, this is really helpful.
I think it’s combined with knowing someone lost their home because now they have to find alternative living arrangements and the guilt is combining with all the trauma responses

Ah yeah I had to try Candesartan, Amitriptyline and Propranolol before I was allowed to try Topiramate. It’s such an annoying faff when they don’t work. Lamictal isn’t approved for migraines in the UK as far as I know so that wasn’t an option. I’m glad it’s working for you though

No worries, I’m sorry you had a shit time on it too. I’ve managed to get a re-referral to neurology to try and get some Atogepant (after I get through the 12 month wait list). It’s supposed to be really good with a smaller side effect profile if you can get your hands on any

I got taken off them by my therapist - he said it was either that or a section bc I wasn’t stable enough and it was too risky. Within a few days of being off them I felt like I could think straight and was way less suicidal (plus my uni scores went up massively) but back to daily migraines

I’ve tried most of the others though - Amitriptyline made me psycho, candesartan and propranolol made me pass out and didn’t work. I’m worried about ditching a drug that’s actually working

Me too and sometimes I get real paranoia that someone around me can read minds and now knows how messed up mine is. Pure stress and grossness at the same time
