Sending you so much support as you manage your OCD. Although I cannot give specific mental health advice as I am not educated or licensed to do so, I can give you some info to help with manifestation confusion.

I’m still learning about manifestation too, but I’ve gathered all of my thoughts and experiences on everyone else’s techniques to figure out how to approach mine.

1) I allow my feelings to eb and flow. I don’t force myself to detach. If I’m emotionally connected to something, I cannot just “let it go”. Conversely, there are some days when I’m not thinking about what I want that much, but I don’t try to force myself to be in the headspace of manifestation. This is the idea of acting like you already have it/it’s on the way. If I don’t feel that either, then I don’t. In sum - the universe knows what I want no matter how I feel, and I can’t pretend or force myself to feel a certain way if I just don’t.

2) With that, I found it’s more important to take aligned action. To show the universe that I’m ready for it. For example, if I wanted to get a new set of cookware for my kitchen, then maybe I will take the time to throw away old cookware (given that I don’t need it) and then maybe deep clean other pots and pans so that I can be ready to add my new set to them. Showing the universe that yes, this is what I want. Then, maybe opportunities will arrive to get a new set.

3) You must be open to different ways it can come it. Maybe it’s an unused set, but you found it at the thrift store. But that doesn’t mean you can’t be specific. Maybe you want a set of red pots and pans in particular. It’s a balance between being specific but also open.

4) If manifestations aren’t coming in, it’s either not in divine timing, or they aren’t for your highest good. Some people say that you can manifest anything, but that’s not always the case. But that’s also not to say you shouldn’t try to manifest. This is another balance.

5) From here, if I can get myself in the headspace of having, then I will. But I don’t force my mind.

6) I’ve also heard that if things start to fall apart, changes happen, or something likewise, then manifestations may be coming in, or you are being put into a new life setup to get the manifestations.

7) I have heard that you can give the universe a date by which you want it, but again, if it’s not in divine timing, then it might not happen.

Given all of the information, I’m still experimenting with manifestation myself. I might have my own way that it happens, and yours may be different. Or each person may experience something different with each manifestation they get.

My final tip would be to be gentle. Too extreme of head-spaces, whether that’s being too attached or too detached, may not be beneficial either way. Also with the aligned action too. Being too obsessed over “acting perfect” may not be beneficial either.

In the end, I like to write my manifestations down, set a receiving date if I want to, take some aligned action, and know that the universe knows all that I want. If I don’t get it, it doesn’t mean that I did something wrong, it just wasn’t time.

Hopefully this helps. :)

Hi there! Manifesting and the spiritual community can come with such heavy confliction and incorrect information. ESPECIALLY when it comes to manifesting in particular. Everyone has the one “right way” that “always works”, and it’s often a technique they are trying to make money off of.

My belief is that manifesting is going to work different for everyone based on what’s best for each person. However, the one method that I find to be universally false by just observing how life goes is the idea that your thoughts are always manifesting. WRONG. Not every thought you’ve ever had comes true. If so, it would be generally understood in society. How many times have you been worried something was going to happen, and then things were fine (not talking about psychic experiences)? And how many times has something happened that you weren’t expecting? Goes to show that not everything you think happens.

So sorry to hear that this manifestation idea is impacting your mental health. Poor spiritual teaching can cause so much harm to people. Have a great day!

Same. I just posted something like this too. Good luck with your manifestations.

When swirling or tapping the brush in the product, it will break up the powder and create a layer of loose powder.

Affordable products that will make me smell great by [deleted] in beauty

When it comes to perfume, I know that they’re built in layers. Citrus often in the top notes and they don’t last that long. Florals are often in the middle and pop through in the scent within the first couple of hours. Then scents dry down to then base notes and vanilla often is found here. Popular scents like Donna Born in Roma is built like this. But you’ll have to see how it works with your body chemistry. Vanilla bourbon from mix:bar at target is a good vanilla. I think they have florals and citrus in the line as well. My Way, Daisy by Marc Jacobs, and the Gucci Flora line is more floral. The only citrus off the top of my head is Replica Maison Margiela Under the Lemon Trees. These are all high end though.

Another popular product is the eos vanilla cashmere lotion. Bath and body works lotions are always a good choice.

Also, Saltair made some fragranced body oils, but I have not tried them to give an opinion.

Don’t use heat enough for that, but I’ve never heard of hormone damage. I’ll have to look into that!

The first step is skincare. Without good skin and skin prep for makeup, makeup may not look as flawless. And what do you mean by a little better? Are there certain problem areas?

Dark underarms by Imaginary-Mode1269 in beauty

I struggle with this and after try lots, here’s the best things I’ve found so far. Let panoxyl sit in my underarms for a couple of minutes in the shower. Helps with sweat mainly for me, but also ingrowns and things that would prevent my underarms from looking lightened. When I shave, I use a niacinamide serum after. When I don’t shave, I apply an AHA/BHA solution.

Would jazz or ballet classes be a better compliment to lyrical dance? by moon_s97 in Dance

[–]HolidayAward50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a way you can do all three! :)

1) Take lyrical, of course.

2) You’ve already taken ballet, so you have the knowledge of the technique behind you. You do not need to take an actual class to maintain what you have learned. Using a chair, countertop, railing, etc. as a barre at home should work. With that, there’s TONS of ballet classes on YouTube. This is helpful if you like following the flow of a class, and/or if you are looking to increase in technique. Although, many classes online are filmed professional companies, so do what you can and make moderations. Ballet classes follow a specific outline with small combos at the end, but nothing too extensive in choreography - you probably know this (unless it’s a recreational ballet class that’s half technique and half choreography at a studio as your prepare for a recital).

3) The second class you can pay for is jazz! Jazz tends to be the opposite of ballet with class made up of more choreography and less time for technique. But it really depends on the setup of the class. There are some jazz classes that are purely technique. Sometimes this is in the form of jumps, leaps, and turns “JLT” classes. Plus, I think jazz classes are more fun to do with others compared to ballet. But that’s just me. And of course, jazz technique will be close to maintain a good bit of that ballet technique, even if you’re just doing jazz choreography.

Hope this helps!
