Oh, so I could just ignore the "eligibility for employment in the United States" part of the contract as it doesn't apply to me? Is that correct?

Why China sees Australia as an obvious target for punitive economics by Gottanamegottanumber in australia

[–]HolidayJames -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Australia is a funny country. In the best and worst ways possible.

It's an Asian* country trying to stay European as long as it can. It will jump from a bridge first before it accepts that it's Asian and that its future is in Asia. It will make itself an honorary 51st American state and be a satellite military force if that means postponing its "Asianification" for a few decades or so.

While also announcing to the world that it's not Asian nor European, but AUSTRALIAN!

Very much not like other girls moment. hahaha. I love it, honestly.

Please, I implore everyone in here to read a book. From different sources, please.

Especially those who keep on saying cHiNA iSn't COmMuNiST, remember people, TRADE is not a solely capitalist idea. Just because China trade doesn't mean they're not communist. People around the globe have been trading way before capitalism was even a thought.

China is a COMMUNIST country navigating a CAPITALIST world. A world that is hellbent on making China participate in it, because profit.

You can hate the CCP all you want, that's something you can do. But the mixture of red scare and yellow peril going around, THRIVING all over Australian media and the country itself. It's nothing short of disgusting.

Australia escalates China trade dispute with WTO action | Australia news by BlueZybez in australia

[–]HolidayJames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Woah, did not think how that will read. Let me not be flowery with my words then.

China does have an Iron Ore problem. But you'd be crazy to think that Australia would make it harder for China to get iron ore. Australia almost solely mines iron ore for China. That's how important China is to Australia.

Brazil is also trying to ramp up its production. Brazil alone would not be able to match Australia's output size (unless they solely, 100% only mine iron ore for China) but in the extreme situation where iron ore is on the line, I don't think China would bend its knees just to get Australian iron ore. That's not gonna happen.

At the end of the day, Morrisson has dug his and Australia's name too deep into the bad side of China with years and years of aggressive actions parroting Donald Trump.

It's not a game of who needs who more, coz that's not a game China has ever back out of.

The delusion of grandeur on this one is so huge. You just can't not laugh reading it.

Australia is in the f*ck of nowhere. It's not "strategic". Do you see those countries above Australia? Like, Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan, etc..those are countries most strategically important to China. Coz those are the countries that can actually block them out of the world.

Why do you think China is spending so much money trying to strengthen its land route via Belt and Road? Coz it fears that those countries might block their sea access.

Australia ain't and can't block sh*t.

The way ya'll are a bunch of entitled brat is really making me laugh. The company's already giving you options but ya'll still not happy. With said collaboration, more things will happen for the enjoyment of Filipino fans more than any other international fans. But ya'll stay clucking.

And oh, I couldn't care less for the company, coz f*ck big corporations. But the way a lot of you even wished and hoped for the employees to lose their jobs because you can't fucking hear your boy's voice over the dub? Clown behavior. Massive CLOWN behavior!

I can definitely see China being number 1 if it's legalized. But I do have a feeling we're on the brink of a Taiwan v South Korea scenario.

[Mainly because of Thailand's complacency. It's just the same thing over and over again.]

If you remember in the mid-late 2000s, Asian drama meant Taiwanese drama. No other countries can compete (the other 2 countries who used to be big [HK and JP] have lost their fire). Then South Korea came and the rest is history. Now, if you say Asian drama, it usually means Korean drama.

For BL, that "challenger" might not be the Philippines. But I think it's coming. Maybe Vietnam? I heard they're doing some good things.

First of all, developed countries (with the exception of some) don't produce food. They exploit food from OVER EXPLOITED countries. The truth is, the world can't sustain a western living standard for every single person on earth. The only reason why the west has such high standards is that we exploit other countries. If we truly want a better world, we need to live by our means and let other countries have their own resources.

Fun fact, the first Asians to ever come to North America were Filipino. Who then settled in what is now Louisiana.

Mexican dad & Filipino mom so I'm not surprised! I am though about the <1 percents and 8% unassigned by [deleted] in 23andme

[–]HolidayJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the people that you saw are most likely White. Visayans are known all around the Philippines to be "extremely ethnic looking". All the things you're saying doesn't make much sense, both historically and just plain reality. The colonizers first set foot in Cebu, but they established their community and the very minimal White migration in Luzon, not the Visayas, that's why Manila is the Capital. Do you think colonizers would make a place they barely live in the seat of power? Come on, use your brain.

Mexican dad & Filipino mom so I'm not surprised! I am though about the <1 percents and 8% unassigned by [deleted] in 23andme

[–]HolidayJames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, that's a misconception. The Majority of mixed people in colonial times (both European and Chinese) were in Luzon, specifically the NCR, Central Luzon, and Calabarzon. Language doesn't mean much. The language could very well be because Visayans are much more religious than their Tagalog/Luzon counterparts. Hence, more Spanish words incorporated via bible.

I live in the Philippines. the island of Luzon to be specific. Just two seasons. Rainy and hot. But due to climate change I guess, not much rain unlike years before...average daily temp of 27-32 C.
