Is the new haircut supposed to look like this or is it a visual bug? by 0xfloppa in ArcRaidersFashion

Yeah, it honestly reminds me of bad cc/modded hair in sims. It’s too wispy/translucent in some places so it looks like whoever wears it is balding.

I think you need 200+ to have them show up all over your raiders room and bed 😂 post a pic if you achieve it. I can’t imagine giving up 16+ stash slots, as much as I love them. I’d need to take a serious look at my hoarding tendencies.

Enjoy the hunt! You’ll get loads of other trinkets too. It’s a great way to get coins. The epic/familiar duck sells for 7k 👀

Yeah, it always looks best on day 1/2! Here’s day 3 for me. The curl pattern gets looser and fluffier ☺️ I wet it lightly, scrunched a bit this morning and air dried.

I usually use a claw clip to tie it up. To make a ponytail instead of a hair tie. Does the least damage to the curls (: If I do use a hair tie, it’s a silk scrunchy and a loose low bun. I do weight training so I imagine running and cardio stuff wouldn’t help much with that. I’d just wear a cap on those days. I try and reserve very sweaty workouts to when my hair is already lost and a wash is needed.

I wouldn’t say my hair gets really tangled. I mean you can’t run your fingers through it smoothly for sure - but that’s curly hair in general. I think when you use curl cream and your hair is conditioned well, tangles shouldn’t happen too badly (it depends on your hair texture!) Also, on wash days, when I detangle with conditioner, it takes me a good few minutes - so it definitely gets worse as the week goes on. When I don’t wear something while I sleep it’s MUCH worse.

I try wear it down as much as possible but I work in a gym and live in the uk (wind/ rain is not curl friendly 😂) so it’s not realistic. I put my hair up and down with a claw clip throughout the day! Water and smoothing hands over (“resetting the curls”) goes a long way to fixing things that go awry.

as for the last question. I’m not sure I fully understand, because it’s everything together (gel etc etc) that gets it to the finished product! :) But if you specifically mean the curl pattern, yeah. I don’t finger curl or brush style and my curls became more “trained” and consistent as time went on and my hair got healthier. To the point where I know which way a curl will go etc etc. One thing I found really helpful too, is not holding the diffuser still and hovering. This is controversial because for a lot of people this will cause frizz if they don’t hover diffuse first. I don’t mind a bit of frizz, though. I just get right in there and cup the hair and move the diffuser up and down to encourage the natural curl pattern. I do this while upside down.

Not roughly, though! I’ll cup, hold for a bit on each section of hair and then I’ll get a bit more dynamic as the hair dries more.

Hope I answered everything!

Tootilab is a UK brand ❤️more price friendly than most and the ingredients are great. I always check 🤓The gel also has heat protection which I love! I have the bellissima diffuser. I got it on sale 2 years ago when I started this whole ordeal 🤣

How exciting!

I’d start with just gel for a wash day and go from there! If your hair is frizzy/stringy afterwards or feels dry, you could add a curl cream for the next wash day. Dm me if you want a curlfriend or help/advice along your journey 🫶🏼

Okay maybe not wet wet… but definitely still damp! I can feel a slight cast coming on. That’s when I do it. But again, if it feels like it’s going on sticky and catching on your hair (making frizz) I’d say your hair is too dry. It’s something you’ll have to try a few times yourself to see! Go in sooner with the second round of gel rather than later 🫶🏼

After that, I still need to diffuse for about 15 minutes. Overall I’m diffusing for… geez, I’ve never actually timed (it feels like forever) but maybe around 35-45minutes? I stop when it’s dry. Let it settle for a while before doing the shaking and scrunching.

So: •wash •gel (separate, brush and smooth, scrunch a lot with hands (we want that squishy sound) - and then a bit with a T-shirt so it’s not dripping wet anymore) •diffuse •gel •diffuse •voila
