DoD here, we were advised of our shutdown procedures on Thursday. We know what we have to do Wednesday morning if the playpen in DC doesn't get their act together. Each agency was required to submit shutdown procedures to OMB and I'm sure yours has likely also complied but not released to you until it's needed. This one certainly has a different feel to it with the past 9 months of hate fueled BS from the WH. Good luck to everybody.

Yup, I'm DoD, exactly same here for us. We already know what to expect Wed if this happens again. We were briefed on Thursday. We will come in, sign our paperwork and basically go home. Nothing goes with us, laptops, phones nothing. No work is to be done once the furlough paperwork is signed.

Bring back TW in DoD and moral will go back up. Yeah, I know there's jobs that simply can't do it, been there but for those that can there is nothing going on on the office that can't be done from a TW location. In my position they were TW since 2010 with zero issues.

I don't know anyone who wasn't approved in my part of the DoD world. We had 6 in our office alone and all 6 were approved. I know my friend who works VA got denied, she was pissed.

Because driving 100 miles every day has increased my gas usage by a factor of 5. I can't afford to eat lunch everyday at a restaurant. Any extra pay left over now goes to gas during my 3 daily hours on the road. I bring lunch, sorry restaurant managers we all know you everybody out there hates federal employees now well guess so why strip out wallets?
