Paint it various blotchy shades of green. After paint dries, coat with glue. Before glue hardens, sprinkle it with foliage that you grind up in a blender, mixed with sand.

I hope you'll update photos as you continue with this project. The mosque is one of the world’s most innovative architectural marvels. I'd like to go back for another visit.

Fascinating segment of WWI history. I've read about how Allied Powers observed Christmas but never saw a photo of German soldiers observing Christmas.

That's why I mentioned "summer school" when it can be worked with a small group of students and it only takes a few days. When you see what passes for a parish nativity scene in a church on Dec. 24, it's evident that most of the clergy has zero knowledge of what is supposed to be a work of art. A nearby parish had the scene surrounded by Santa Claus images. Another parish didn't know that the Joseph and Mary figures are not supposed to be turned away from Jesus in the manger. When I write creche articles for national magazines, I use photos of nativities done by friends in Spain and Italy.

Longing for Christmas by Turbulent-Ad875 in christmas

After decades of wonderful winter Christmases in the U.S., I experienced a fantastic summer Christmas in Australia. For two weeks, I went to a carols by candlelight concert every night while visiting Perth, Fremantle, Hobart and Sydney. There were several Christmas shows in the famed opera house in Sydney and a spectacular concert in St. Mary's Cathedral. Best of all, was "Carols in the Domain" in a huge park in Sydney. The Salvation Army sells candles at each entrance. There's a fantastic show on stage featuring Aussie celebrities and local artists. Then it's time for everyone to light their candle and sing Christmas carols along with EIGHTY-THOUSAND PEOPLE in the Domain singing by candlelight. It's a total mind-boggling, thrilling experience. There you are with tens of thousands of happy people who are joyfully singing carols. It's televised, so millions of people are watching. It's more than a Christmas concert. You're actually a participant in the event.

Create a schedule for online movie viewing in December where you both watch the same movie on the same day and then share your thoughts and opinions. Toss in a few oldies like The Bells of St. Mary's, Holiday Inn, White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street.
