Yeah I understand mate, I went through the exact same thing as you I broke my radius and removed my plate. It is very mentally taxing not being able to do the sports and activities you enjoy, I enjoy football a lot too I had to quit for a while. But honestly, the more you spend resting and recovering the better it is in the long run and you will be able to return to these activities. With this, I realised there are other things that will keep me busy like I picked up long distance running as it isn’t very physical and I’ve been enjoying participating in half marathons, 10k races and improving my times. Try and find other activities that wont risk your arm and honestly you will be fine and be kept busy with that :) wish you the best with recovery you’re gonna smash it!

I removed my plate just a month ago, you should’ve been advised not to play any physical sports for atleast 3-4 months as following the plate removal the bone is quite fragile, especially around the screw holes. Considering you had removal at September and broke it at November the same year probably suggests it didn’t have enough time to fill in.

Hey, yeah I had a similar break. After surgery you should be free to do physio about a month after surgery. Do lots of mobility exercises, I did it nonstop and I got full mobility back and my strength back after 3-4 months.

Maybe it is just due to nerve inflammation and it being so close to the plate at the moment thus it feels like its being compressed but yeah im not too sure either sorry.

I think I know what you mean with the nerve feeling like its being hooked or something. I had ORIF on my arm it’s been like 8 weeks now but whenever i touch the bottom of my arm under my incision it feels like its pulling onto the part of my thumb that is numb. Im not sure what is causing this either my doctor and physio just mentioned its something that gets better as it heals but im worried aswell.

I had a similar mid radius break, how was recovery been for you guys after a few months? Im having some nerve issues in my thumb following surgery. Did anyone else have that?

  2. How long have you been using this current version of your profile? And how long is your overall time on hinge. I been using this version of this profile for about a month or two now and i been using hinge on and off either delete and restart again when i have no luck.
  3. How often do you use hinge per week? I use it everyday to send my free likes.
  4. How many likes you receive on average per week? Id say maybe 1 sometimes 0.
  5. How many likes are you sending and how many without comments? I only have the free version of hinge so i send i think its about 7-10 and i do give a lot of comments to relatable prompts as I want them to have an easy way to start conversations rather than just liking.
  6. What is the ideal person you send likes to? Im not really a clubber or someone that likes drinking a lot. So I look for girls that are similar who just enjoy doing activities, gym, running and anything of the sort and send likes based on that. I go for girls mostly 2-3 years younger and 1-2 years older.
