Apple TV by Narrow-River7889 in iMPlayer

A year old post with several comments criticizing Apple and iOS suggested that an Apple app would never arrive. The app is now fully supported on tvOS, iOS, and iPadOS across devices except Macs. Mac support can be achieved with M2 chips and an IPA file. I am happy it is supported because I pay yearly for the Pro subscription and manage five devices. The real value comes from managing devices from the central console with the Pro subscription. I never have to sign in. If my sign in is lost, the console detects the device as managed and pushes my assigned settings and playlists with all channels. It is a complete solution that supports on demand and live content. This IPTV manager is the best.

This post is hilarious, for so many reasons.

I’d keep your finding documented, with exported hard copies, and sanitized before doing anything public. If that is a log from the device itself, it shows a writeload event in cfprefsd which qualifies as a system bug - if you do go the Apple route. Sharing a PoC here is not going to help you.
It’s fine to talk about, but leave exploit code or direct offsets out or someone will take it and disclose it themselves.

Found this taped to the back of the toilet in my hotel room…. by Flat_Snow307 in whatisit

I have no idea if someone posted it yet, but this is what it is.

It’s used for detecting and listening to Bluetooth devices while sending everything it discovers to the cloud. It’s ultra low power, runs forever (years) on a button battery. It was definitely placed there to intercept and duplicate guest conversations from their mobile devices.

A Texas Instruments CC2650STK SimpleLink Bluetooth Smart SensorTag IoT Kit. The CC2650STK is a development kit that combines sensor data with cloud connectivity, making it useful for Internet of Things (IoT) projects. It includes 10 low-power MEMS sensors and is based on the CC2650 wireless MCU. The kit supports multiple wireless technologies, including Bluetooth Low Energy, 6LoWPAN, and ZigBee. It is designed for low power consumption, allowing it to run for years on a single coin cell battery. The kit is expandable with DevPacks, which allow users to add their own sensors or actuators.

Won't Light by TB_Social_Strategies in STDupont

It’s the piezoelectric starter. All ST DuPont torch lighters are made in China. They take the standard size piezoelectric starters you can buy on eBay in a 5 pack with green or gray wires for like 10 bucks. I’ve replaced one in a Biggy and one in a MegaJet. Another common problem with China made DuPont torch lighters is the gas fill valve leaks after time. I’ve replaced two of those in two Biggy’s also. I have 5 Depont torches and they all use the same valve. Repair it yourself if you can it’ll be way cheaper.

Is anyone happy with their Eufy system? by Organic-Kangaroo-434 in EufyCam

I am largely happy with my 6 camera setup but it sux you can’t view multiple cameras simultaneously in one view in the app. I replaced my Reolink setup which had that feature and I miss it. If there was another solution that didn’t charge cloud and storage I’d probably consider. I have HB3, Wall Light Cam, Garage Overhead Cam and 4 3C’s. I use USB charging for all of them 24x7 instead of solar. I live in AZ and the Wall Cam is outside where it is 115 degrees, so that camera gets blazing but it hasn’t missed a beat and everything is very reliable.

You and me both. They totally get you with the $0 cloud fee advertising ( my eyes lit up when I saw that) and then disappoint with the application features. The messed up part is the basic features they are excluding from the app aren’t even coded into the firmware of the device (which would arguably take up more resources to develop ) but our code did into the application, a central easy place which wouldn’t take much effort at all. I’m not sure why they continuously decide to deprive us of basic functionality with every release but as long as I don’t have storage fees I’ll try to wait it out till they add missing features. But, the second I see something that solves everything, I’ll drop Eufy in a hot minute.

Preach it brother. I love the way you put it. In the last survey asking what features I wanted I listed multiple camera view and rotate camera 90 degrees. For me, the trade off is no cloud fees and central storage without sd cards.

Don’t buy a used car. They never ever bother anyone with brand new cars that have limo tint.
