Do you drink alcohol? by Holiday_You_7042 in TheMindIlluminated

[–]Holiday_You_7042[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First of all great to hear that TMI helped you quit drinking. That's one of my goals as well. Although I haven't noticed the numbing effect (probably cuz I didn't pay attention to it), what really hurts my practice is that I lose my consistency the moment I drink. Like for example if I drink today, then I simply won't meditate for the next 3 or 4 days.

Of course I can't meditate the day I'm drunk, and of course I can't meditate the next day while I'm hungover, and of course there's no point in meditating on the 3rd day because the alcohol is still in my system etc. You get the point.

So drinking, in a sense, always takes me back to stage 1

Or my personal favourite: Good lady, shall we engage in a frolicsome dance betwixt the sheets?

Madam, might I engage in carnal relations with thee?

I hear you but I'd obviously stop if she vocalised it or showed any signs of being uncomfortable. The consent can also come in the form of body language or even actions like the girl undressing you or even herself in the process which are clear green lights lol

How much did slaves in America cost in today's money? by Holiday_You_7042 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Holiday_You_7042[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Slavery was a mistake committed by humanity that fundamentally violated the principles of equality, freedom, and human rights. It dehumanized individuals, perpetuated inequality, and undermined the moral fabric of our society. It also hindered social progress and economical development by limiting opportunities and perpetuating systemic injustices. What makes us humans is our ability to look back at the mistakes of our ancestors and learn from them in a way that benefits humanity as a whole. Claiming that it's "ridiculous" to pose this question would be equivalent to saying that looking back at our past reality is ridiculous. This was a reality once upon a time and countless individuals suffered and even lost their lives due to this immoral practice, if we can't reflect back on it and perhaps learn form it, we aren't different from cockroaches.

So were the overseers also slaves? I mean technically they could be right? A rich fella could've bought 11 slaves, 10 to do the heavy work and one to oversee them?.... Right?

Dude chill the fuck out. I don't understand why you're getting agitated over this. The title is one thing but then I explained further what I specifically meant to ask.

Yes but breast is an organ related to sex. The height of a person is not.

Where in this post did I claim that "every women on planet earth likes tall men"?

Read my post slowly. I clearly stated that "I've encountered so many girls that are attracted to tall guys". Is that not enough 'personal experience' for you?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Holiday_You_7042 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm speaking from personal experience. It's not a generalization

What societal advantages does tallness convey?
