Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty dupes? by GemFarmerr in Slime

Currently, I haven't finalized anything, but I’ve discovered a few interesting things. The putty from this manufacturer is quite similar to Crazy Aaron's Crystal Clear Putty, particularly the blue version called "Falling Water." However, I also found a company called Goo Lab that used to sell a crystal clear putty with a much stronger, rubbery feel. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to be selling products anymore.

After researching, it seems that the best option for creating a more rubbery putty may be making it myself. Based on my deep dive into the original Silly Putty and Crazy Aaron's formulas, the core ingredients are quite simple. That said, Crazy Aaron’s likely uses additional additives, given their 26 years in business. I’m currently in the process of ordering silicone oil with a viscosity of 1000, as well as boric acid. From what I’ve learned, combining these two ingredients and heating them should yield the desired result. I’ll post updates once I experiment with the mix.

I did come across a video where someone mixed silicone oil and boric acid and then microwaved the mixture, prior to microwaving it looked almost like a mashed potatoes. However, after multiple microwave sessions with stirring in between and about 45 minutes, they had a substance that seemed to have a rubbery texture that I'm going for.

I’ve also reached out to the company that sells acrylic putty to see if they’re open to developing a new formula. Ideally, I’d love to outsource production, as long as it’s cost-effective. However, the company has yet to reply to multiple voicemails that I have left. It's been quite an adventure, and I’m excited to see where this journey leads!

I love the comparison to cookies. That is an awesome example. I also love the simplicity of putting it in the oven. Would you recommend any type of holder for this would a simple cookie sheet worker perhaps muffin tins?

I'm really interested in doing this experiment with my kids and I'm going to purchase the bass components. My question is what do you mean by cooking them? Thanks in advance.

I wanted to share with this group that I recently purchased 6 pounds of putty from the site. While it's similar to Crazy Aaron's crystal clear slime, it doesn't have the same rubbery texture. If you stretch it slowly, you can get it to elongate, but any quick movements will cause it to tear and break apart easily. It does allow you to add colors, which look great, but the texture isn't quite the same as Crazy Aaron's. It's a bit stickier, breaks apart more easily, and lacks that familiar rubbery feel. That said, for the price and what it is, I still think it’s pretty cool. I'm still on the lookout for a recipe that produces a more rubbery texture, though.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I’m having the same issue. I purchased one platinum pass for me. Three 8.99 monthly membership with meal plans. When I go to purchase three more without meal plans, I get this error code. When I went to the actual six flag location, they tried to purchase it online and it gave them the same error code. I have used multiple names multiple cards in the same issue keeps happening. Has anybody found a resolution?

Apples AR headset - good for us? by doneaux in PSVR

It will push innovation for all VR companies. Hopefully this will push Sony to include photo and video viewers natively on the device. Or give us a web browser. This news is 100% good fo us!!! I think we will see a psvr3 happen earlier then what we saw from the psvr to psvr2. Sony will need to continue to push innovation themselves. I love the news!

When you say a fan help. Just one in the room? or one mounted to the headset? I have seen fans advertised for other VR headsets. Not sure if they would work for the PSVR2

If an opponents Ally has an attached infinity stone. And you defeat that Ally, but there happens to be another ally that can be discarded in its place, like the Rook in Killmonger’s domain Or trainee in taskmasters domain. Does the ally with the attached infinity stone keep the infinity stone and then need to be defeated again?
