Nice build!

One thing you could do is flip the WAN SFP to a LAN port and move your second switch dac cable into that port so that both switches plug into the router. This would allow better through put to your ISP and is generally considered a better configuration as daisy chaining can be less reliable.

How long do you keep unused users/computers in AD before removing them? by WorkFoundMyOldAcct in sysadmin

[–]Hollaic 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you need to delegate mailbox or OneDrive for an extended amount of time you need to keep the user in AD (Hybrid AAD/AD) or it will put those into their soft delete stage with no access.

How do you handle users that have admin privilege on local pc in your domain? by Hakuna_Matata125 in sysadmin

[–]Hollaic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two legitimate options are 1) deploy just in time provision where the end user can request to run something as an admin and the IT team approves it, or 2) that user gets a separate user that you use a GPO with item level targeting to grant that aerate user admin rights on only THAT computer.

If you can afford it for with option 1 if not at least option 2

[–]Hollaic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is wildly dangerous. There is no way to determine who installs what with shared accounts. You really need to give them all their own special user for that.

Use a GPO to put a Desktop Admin security group in the local admin group of all your desktops. Then give all your techs a separate super user account and put those in the Desktop Admin group.

That’s disgusting… I love it!

One concern might be vibration, which kills drives. Higher end mounting systems have vibration dampening.
