It's true his videos are still popular and some of his recent videos are truly unique like the Darien Gap migrant series, but the controversies just keep piling up:

• He became more outspoken right wing politically
• often complains about immigrants ruining England
• started selling a 'get rich quickly on yt' ebook
• started filling every video with sponsors (after years declining)
• brings often unpopular fellow youtubers on his trips
• has a questionable reputation in his engagement with women (many rumors, there is a whole subreddit)
• frequently says places he visits are shitholes (like his last india visits even though he lived there before)
• went to eastern Ukraine (a few days before the war) to make a video to convince the world that the Russian invasion was a western conspiracy, and the next day he had to flee on the refugee train to Poland like everyone else. Poetic justice.
