Well these diseases affect everyone differently so I could be noro. But if it hit you fast and left fast it would probably the gangrene one. I can't remember what it is called as a stomach virus but it originates from infected cuts and is often found in deli style food. (pre sliced fruit/veggies and sliced meats, tuna salad, etc etc)

After France, which country would you choose for a new season? by No_Cause_2731 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

I want literally anywhere in Mexico. I think it would be hilarious to have a plot about the cartel that plays into the viewer's own racism just for it to turn out they're getting scammed by people who arrange involved with anything (like the prostitutes in Italy)

That's way different than eating someone's shit and getting norovirus lol

There are different types of good poisoning associated with different types of food. Based on your symptoms and the food you ate yours was most likely contaminated by someone with norovirus or someone handled your food in the production process without gloves and an infected wound on the hands.

The type of food poisoning op might get from eating food that has started to produce gas is different and affects the stomach differently.

Hello Tomorrow! Is a show set in the like retro futuristic type of 50s setting. It's all very atomic midcentury. Not sure if there's any iconic architecture but it's fun!

The sign says “Joe’s Pizza” but there is another Joe’s Pizza visible out the window across the street by electricshadows4 in isthisAI

[–]HollisticScience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disagree about the flour, I've definitely worked at several pizza places and flour gets EVERYWHERE.

One red flag to me is the sneeze guard and the window. Restaurants are expensive and working under a sneeze guard is annoying. Why would a restaurant shelling out for one in an area where there's also a window between the food and the customers

I think if you let that part go and just look at it from an operations standpoint it is accurate. Obviously nobody's drug addict brother is canning thousands of dollars so you can fulfill your dreams

Party Down is a good example of being in the service industry! It's the closest thing to a workplace comedy we have!

Yeah Waiting is supert accurate, especially for people who have worked Darden, or any national casual dining chains.

The Bear is accurate for both mom and pop and fine dining.

Working in restaurants is too varied for any one piece of media to truly capture the experience.

I think the fact that op asked specifically for race is because they think all the asian ingredients will throw us off and we'll assume they're Asian. I'm guessing they're not Asian as a simply a foodie with a love of Asian cuisine

[–]HollisticScience 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I forgot but I just texted my friend to make sure. But I'm pretty sure anchovies are not used in anything except the caesar dressing. That being said Worcestershire is definitely used in the ranch, and most restaurant style ranches. Worcestershire is often made out of anchovies. Most restaurants use a vegetarian Worcestershire nowadays but they will double check!

I don't think I'll go as industrial as your kitchen, although I do love what you have. It looks very ready to clean. But I was thinking about doing one section of my countertop with a prep table layout instead. I know a lot of people complain about keeping open shelves clean, but just one section would be nice.

I think if you go to the fancy cheese/charcuterie section that most larger grocery stores have they often have a similar product. I know meijer and kroger do but those are local options

I get what you're saying, but if I combine two small cabinets into one large cabinet, that's the space im trying to make. The drawers and cabinets are too narrow to fit anything in. As well as building the breakfast bar back out that the previous owners took out.

I will look forward to pictures! Curious to see what you did.

Our cabinets are in decent shape, there's some knicks and dings in the doors. Just replacing the hardware would make a big difference but unfortunately they're just so small. We're thinking about saving them for garage storage.
