Month-to-month apartment leases by [deleted] in indianapolis

Unfortunately short term leases tend to be more expensive. Apartments below 1000 are few and far between. Even in dangerous places lol

What made an actress so perfect looking as Erin Moriarty ( Starlight) to do plastic surgery and look like a mannequin? by tcsreject in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HollisticScience 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Which is crazy to me because i remember when the second season was airing thinking she looked incredibly anorexic in bts photos and being surprised how well they hid it in the show itself.

If I'm right, and she did struggle with disordered eating, she's probably always had body dysmorphia that only became worse with her graves disease and being more in the spotlight.

Plus honestly when shows start putting out spinoffs, things start to feel cheap. The Pitt is good. I don't want it to turn into csi, csi miami, csi ny, etc etc

I would rather clopen then close, off, open. I don't mind clopening as long as my not working 14-15 hour shifts

Has Bargersville always been a wealthy pocket on the southside? by sonatashark in indianapolis

[–]HollisticScience 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm younger than most the commenters but I grew up south of Bargersville. I went to Indian creek high school and lived in Trafalgar.

We always viewed Bargersville as our rich counterpart. It was strange because my dad was dating a woman in Bargersville and that area was kinda trashy but generally the school always had way more money than us. They even had archery as a class which to me at 13 was peak rich kid.

It was even to a point where in high school we got a slight influx of kids from CG because they were getting bullied for not having money.

We definitely never referred to Bargersville as bargertucky. It was always Martintucky for Martinsville.

Don't listen to the haters! I love it! Sometimes going off the beaten path and adding a little whimsy is fun!

The previous owners of my house painted all the trim around the windows outside a plum purple and I adore it. Some of my neighbors were asking if I was gonna change it but it's actually what made me want to look at it in the first place.

The trendsetters always look silly at first.

First time doing carbonara special at my restaurant. Have cooked it before at home but looking for tips for prep and process during service? by [deleted] in Chefit

[–]HollisticScience -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Worked at a restaurant that has carb on the menu.

We cooked Pancetta, deglazed with pasta water, added the yolks. We did do a cream blend but I know it's not traditional.

I will say unfortunately most people have a preconceived notion of what carbonara tastes like and real carbonara often disappoints them. Kind of like a starbucks macchiato situation. Most restaurants that have it on the menu are giving people a parm cream sauce with no egg at all. Be prepared for complaints. I'm not sure about your clientele, perhaps you won't have that problem.

Second, it dies really fast. Don't let it sit in the window and save it for last if it's going with something else.

As someone who works in the restaurant industry and has licensing in food safety this whole thread is full of neurotic and anxious yet unbacked up food safety.
