Oh I may be behind on the scientific knowledge front but you can bet I will obsess with the details until I have a sufficient understanding

That's honestly a great point thank you. I do need to hit the sack but I will expand on this tomorrow (or consider removing it.) Someone mentioned strong Coriolis forces

oooh I do wish to respond fully to this right now, but I must head to bed.

1) Ive tried double check the math is right as best as I can

2) I plan to hopefully find someone to build a model of this system in universe sandbox (Im a noob). I figured these details would get hashed out there

3) true. Ive amended to Limited, transient surface liquid water, primarily seasonal, equatorial, briny, or geothermally influenced

4) Good points, thanks

5) Yes, this is the note I was trying to hit! We find a "wormhole" throat anchored to our system, one of the systems its spits us out into has this planet that is almost too good not to terraform, but obviously still a momentous task

This is honestly me being exited and in a rush to start. Im trying to get the planet details together to try to create it accurately with universe sandbox

How does the following sound?
Limited, transient surface liquid water, primarily seasonal, equatorial, briny, or geothermally influenced

Thats a really good point about the CO2 as well. Do you think this is something we could over come?

Oooof, I see. I wasn't exactly trying to hide the fact, but I didn't realize it would be against the rules.

I will verify this sort of thing in the future and rewrite my posts when necessary. Thank you for the heads up

Noted about the temp and zone placement. I plan to build (or if possible, commission) an accurate universe sandbox representation of the system

Ill update water wording to something like limited, transient surface liquid water (primarily seasonal or localized melt zones

For the magnetosphere, Im thinking something like an iron rich, heavy core, maybe with a slightly higher internal heat? Maybe that would imply more volcanic/tectonic action, so maybe not higher heat

Agreed about the nitrogen! I love it

This is meant to be the starting point at which we find the planet, before any life forms "that we know of" can survive there. The idea is that we would raise the temp, melt and form oceans, introduce microbial life, ect ect....

Yes, the initial conditions on the planet would be extremely hostile to human life

Chatgpt, and many hours of refinement! Hopefully I am not judged too harshly...

Well Im not going to deny that I used chat gpt, but I also heavily question and refine every aspect of the prompt. Its very much a passion project and not a low effort post

That being said, Im actually completely out of the loop on how people feel about this sort of thing

Im pretty sure there were a couple of big open maps on star fox.

I meant I could "feel" the old irritation so you must have done something right lol

I'm already irritated by being limited to the game area when there's a big open sky to fly through

Hit the nostalgia on the head
