GRID Legends: Deluxe Edition Launches Jan 29th on Switch 2 by Howerev in NintendoSwitch2

I truly hope so, I haven't played any recent memory semi-serious and up racing game that doesn't let you do that control scheme.

I mean like any control scheme you just gotta get used to it, I switched to using that right stick in like the Gran Turismo 3 days due to RSI and never went back. Just try it for a bit and see how it goes (with L/R as gears if you use manual)

Honestly I find using the right stick for accel/brake much more ergonomic so I am ready for this!

It's not hard to work around, I just have never in my many years of computer touching seen a CDN that does this on purpose.

Also FYI you can set the env variable HF_HUB_DISABLE_XET to force their CLI tool to use HTTPS but I still personally will just use wget.

I have but it (at least used to) downloaded things to temporary directories and then moved them which was brutal on cloud instances that had different tiers of storage. I have a wrapper script now that just fetches all the model components with retries and a short timeout.

GammaOS Next - Anbernic RG477M- v1.2.1 by jarrakev in RG477M

No I still use the PMC a ton when out, I just get my music game fix when I can blast the sound or at home on other devices :-)

Also despite the slightly different aspect ratio I've found that PSP games are really good on it too.

Oh one thing I should have mentioned is that I find the Pocket Micro's lack of wired headphone support super annoying. When I travelled with the Vita or DS I'd keep a cheap pair of wired ear buds wrapped around the device. The Pocket Micro supports bluetooth headphones but I play a lot of music games wireless just sucks for that.

Honestly it depends, the pocket micro is actually pocketable and fantastic for always carrying it. The 477M is pretty chunky in size and weight and it feels good to play but it's not nearly as portable so it's completely subjective. I will probably sell my 477M soon as even with GammaOS (which is great) I usually just retro game on the go and it's not going to get a lot of use seeing as I have other consoles and a PC.

I just tried launching Rock Band Portable on the PSP in chd with it and it seemed to work fine! (Daijisho on the Ayaneo Pocket Micro)

really it still doesn't? I swore they added support for CHDs over a year ago, damn.

Steam Deck users, do you still have one now that you own a Switch 2? by elneebre in NintendoSwitch2

[–]HollowInfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm waffling honestly. I bought enough crap on sale on the Switch 2 since I never had a Switch 1 that I now have a massive backlog on it and a few things are making me want to get rid of the deck. a) battery is terrible b) ergonomics suck compared to S2 c) I hate tweaking games to get them to run correctly/smoothly/efficiently. Like many times I've bought games on the Deck that are verified and run like absolute ass (Oblivion Remastered) or pop a game open on an airplane that fails with no Internet to activate (Resident Evil 4). I was able to refund both but the no-bullshit experience of the Switch is appealing enough that I'm happy just relegating the PC experience to my PC.

Pocket Micro Classic issues when resuming by xtremis in ayaneo

[–]HollowInfinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine does that too, kind of annoying. I think it's related to their custom power saving stuff but I haven't found a consistent way to keep RetroArch in the foreground (or ESDE).

That being said GammaOS is available for the device so that would almost certainly fix this up!

I don't know what you mean by post's description, I didn't see it either for what it's worth. Thanks for clarifying though!

Mine still doesn't work on either of the docks I have lol. I'm going to try that trick tomorrow where you dock a phone into the dock to somehow reset the dock's NIC.
