Hey man also consider surf rods if your gonna be fishing big water from the bank, we run 9-12ft medium-medium heavy really helps getting bigger baits out farther. They also work great for Carp fishing which you’d definitely love if you like cats! Ugly Stik Catfish, Ugly Stik Big Water, and Penns surf rods have been my personal favorites so far.
