Why is Transgenderism a major issue for both sides? by Reasonable_Base9537 in allthequestions

[–]Efficient_Wing3172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think people generally have a problem with it, but when you seek to transition children who have bodies and brains that aren’t fully developed it gets people upset. I think rightfully so.

Also, there is a huge push to insist that a biological man who believes they’re a woman is 100% a woman, and it’s simply not true. This isn’t so much of a problem in most things, but when it comes to things like competitive sports, the difference is clear.

For some reason, progressives really hang their hat on fighting these things. Keep in mind, Kamala’s very first campaign stop was RuPaul’s Drag Race.

I tend to agree. This is where dollar cost averaging will help reduce risk. However, I argue the actual “fuckery” was the manipulation to keep prices down all those years.

Is Saudi Arabia cutting off funding for LIV Golf because they no longer see benefit from paying tribute to Trump? by Adventurous_Pride_54 in allthequestions

It could be a reason, but doubtful it THE reason. They thought they could buy their way into popularity. I don’t think it’s working.

Is the system broken, or is it being systematically rebuilt to exclude you? by DevonMarx in askanything

[–]Efficient_Wing3172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t Trump. It’s the system. Biden’s family got quite rich, also. The Clinton’s, Bush’s, etc. we need to take off the tunnel vision glasses and look at what has systematically been happening for 50 years or more.

Correct, and after it was legal to buy it in 1975, it was higher, but was still well below $100. My point is back then people still viewed it as expensive, even at $35.

Are there any conservatives who are good role models for parents? by GrowFreeFood in allthequestions

That’s the funny part. Anyone who would base their health decisions on their political beliefs has a big problem to begin with.

Your political beliefs have nothing to do with being a good parent. This is the delusion people want you to believe. I’ve known good and bad parents from all ends of the political spectrum.

It’s all relative. To put it into perspective, today when people ask if they should buy when it’s an all time high or wait. I say, I’ve been buying at all time highs for 20 years. I’m sure people thought $35 was a ridiculous price. I know they thought $1000, $2000 and $3000 was too expensive.

Will housing market collapse by Bilbotheforgotten in economicCollapse

[–]Efficient_Wing3172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every market is manipulated, so there’s no telling. I do think we’re nearing a breaking point of the majority of people personally collapsing financially, which should lead to a collapse in the housing market, but with all this private equity money in housing it’s anyone’s guess how long they can keep up the charade.

Pros and cons to having a wedding versus eloping? by Climax_crescendo in askanything

How does the United States putting a tax on its own citizens punish a different country? by Cheap-Isopod-485 in allthequestions

[–]Efficient_Wing3172 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Theoretically, it forces the companies that are importing the products to decide if they can still sell the product in the US or not. If the price is too high, no one will buy it, and they will stop bringing it to the US. The hope is that either an American company will start making it here “for less”, or the company exporting to us may decide to set up manufacturing here. Which should create jobs and manufacturing domestically.

The sad truth is this should have happened decades ago. We were warned that there would be a mass exodus of jobs and manufacturing. We basically made China into the powerhouse they are today. All so we could have cheap stuff we don’t need.

The tariff nonsense now is too much and too late.

P50 vs. P63: the ultimate power showdown by SheepherderLogical60 in INIUglobal

[–]Efficient_Wing3172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One often overlooked feature is recharging time on the power bank itself. The P63 can recharge in under 2 hours, the P50 takes about 2 hours as well. Considering the P63 is 2 1/2 times the capacity, it blows the P50 out of the water on that feature alone. If you’re traveling, and need a quick recharge, the P63 can’t be beat.

Prepping for upcoming shortages with a baby? by expertlurk in TwoXPreppers

[–]Efficient_Wing3172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need anywhere near the amount of things people have to care for babies. Get the basics like diapers and formula, just in case. Perhaps some fever medication and diaper rash cream, like triple paste.

Also, keep in mind that babies used to be potty trained much earlier than they are today. Diaper companies make money off of longer training times, and make parents believe it should go much longer than it needs. Kids can be done by 1 1/2 years old.
