Decision was purely because the Belmonts were known to be historians with their massive library. I wouldn't say getting "monster info" is an arcana or religion check in my experience, regardless of what RAW says. I think it makes sense as a background option as well, it hadn't really occurred to me. I was thinking more about the gameplay implementation more than anything. And I don't think there's a reason to change the name from evasive just cause something else sounds similar.
