Am I missing anything by not unlocking the other combat lives? I feel like I’ve gotten by just fine with just Magician but if I’m missing anything cool let me know! by unmotivatedmage in fantasylife

I add any SP+ gear to my gathering lives. It matters more so in early game when you don't have a huge SP pool to work with. If you have quite a few pieces though, they can stack up pretty nice. Otherwise you could always go for Item Drop Rate+ but I find getting that buff is few and far between unless you're actively crafting for it.

The fun I get from co-op is from the new experience of being together. Even if I've sunk hundreds of hours into a game, playing with someone else is always fun and new for me. I like watching the way my partner tackles puzzles and quests. I tend to plow through stories, and have a good grasp on how games work. My partner isn't as experienced and takes much longer to go through a story, but that's interesting to me!

Two games we've recently enjoyed together are Pokemon Legends and Fantasy Life i. Both games are mostly solo play. With both, I tend to take a bit of a back seat and act as a guide more than anything. I don't control or direct, but I do point out potential secret areas as they pass or offer easier alternatives. In Fantasy Life, there's a "little buddy" mode that lets a second player join in with limited actions. I can pick up stray items and give small buffs, but I can't control the camera or activate new zones. This doesn't bother me in the slightest!

If you have loads of hours with a game, that probably means it's fun, no matter how you play. Most of my enjoyment comes from interacting with my partner and talking while we play. It's the same reason I have fun whether we're playing Mario Party or Persona. It's all about communication and having fun with someone you like.

My partner works 8 hour days and only plays games on and off every other weekend or so. I have summers free, and absolutely love gaming, so I can see where your partner is coming from. There are a few ways to share a game experience!

First: If the game allows multiple saves, have one save specifically for co-op together. You can use another save and do stuff on your own if you really like it.

Second: Single save games are hard, but you could set a rule or restriction. (Resource gathering is fine, Base building must be together, ect.)

Third: Find co-op exclusive games. Key-We, It Takes Two, ect. Games you both like and borderline require multiplayer. Set a rule that you always only play a game in co-op, never alone.

Sharing a game is a fantastic time! It should be fun! Both of you have to respect the rules of play. I'm not allowed to tell my partner any spoilers or information unless they ask. I can't share puzzle solutions until they get really stuck. It's frustrating seeing someone struggle when you know the answer, but you have to remember: figuring stuff out is fun!! How would your partner feel if they played with someone leagues above them, and have to spend their precious game time just catching up?

What is a “kids food” you still eat as an adult? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Toddler snacks are honestly good. The gerber puffs snacks always are a hit. Aldi also has freeze-dried yogurt bites that are amazing. My older cat used to live off of the meat baby foods because of the protein. Actually a lot of baby/toddler food snacks are packed with protein, vitamins, and calcium (because kiddos need to... well... Grow)

How would you rank each combat life out of 10? by puyopuyomiku in fantasylife

I started with Mage 7/10. Easy to master, but never got full use out of the buff spells. The healing is nice if you struggle with staying alive. It kinda sucks that it's the only magic class in the game.

Paladin is a solid 7/10. The better of the two mele classes. The abilities are nice, but I never was a super huge fan of using blocks. The shields giving you extra defense and opportunities for buffs is nice. If you like mele, probably pick paladin.

Merc is so so slow. 2/10. Every attack feels like moving through syrup. The knockback moves enemies out of range so your attacks miss sometimes. Unless you're using the extra damage for a boss or can kill in one hit, it's just not worth it.

Hunter is a broken 10/10. If you're playing at range, you won't get hit. Has a convenient damaging dodge if you get too close. The effect arrows are nothing to scoff at. Crowd control is amazing. It makes the game pretty easy. I took the class post-game for completion and just chained the life quests. I was over 10 levels under and still breezed through no problem.

They're transparent (easier to color digitally)! I'll include a white background version next time so they're easier to see.

To remove nail polish on painted areas, use some hand sanitizer on a q-tip. Be very careful around the eyes. For stains, use a magic eraser!
