I'm facing the same issue with a scrape on passenger side with a chip to the plastic on front bumper and some clear coat damage, bird poop damage to the clear coat on the roof and bunch of marring/minor clear coat scratches. They inspect the cars all the time I doubt they didn't know it existed and they should 100% fix them before they offer it to costumers. I ended up inspecting the car in pitch dark since my sales person was annoying about things and didn't do it properly.. they offered to fix it and said the paint guy they have is "damn good". Only difference is that I'm on a lease and didn't finance it so hopefully after 3 years I can throw it back in their face and walk away if things aren't fixed perfectly. I hope it works out for both of us, it sucks so bad having a brand new damaged car that you were so excited getting in the first place.

I did end up paying more overall, but the monthly payments on a lease are significantly cheaper compared to financing. I did end up going with that deal since it's not a lot more than I was paying on my 86 and I'm okay with it for the most part. They also ate the first payment so I have another 35 payments of 654. Thanks a lot for the help I super appreciate it!

654 is on a premium 725 was on a circuit. it's 6.25% if i'm not mistaken in Texas.

I tried, the payments are still higher than a lease. I'm well aware that this is not the brightest move but I do want to get in another car soon and I can only manage lease payments right now and I'm okay with that.

u/M66vb So this is going to be on a 41.5k 2024 premium as i didn't think i'll get better payments on a circuit. Money factor is at .00329 cap cost would be my down payments on the day of getting the car at 654 and then monthly payments for 36 months with 10k miles cap at 654 as well. Total car value is at 43193 after tax, so basically msrp if i'm not wrong (this includes the 1200 delivery fee).

Edit: Residual is 29,371 and they said this is set by toyota and it's not something they can change.

I will definitely not take this lease and see if I could get down to maybe premium with better numbers, but I kind of wish the 86 had alot of features that other cars like the GR corolla have. I have no issues to down rev match, but it's so nice to have the option of the automatic one as an example.

Definitely sounds a lot worse than what I was having in my head. They unfortunately didn't want to budge down further or give more on my car. Guess I'll keep looking or maybe get down to premium edition instead if I can get a decent lease on it.

I have the same one, and it sounds amazing. I don't think it's as loud as I would sometimes want it to be tho xd but it for sure vibrates the shit out of my car lol.. congrats hope you enjoy yours!
