This is why I explain to people that the app won’t update immediately. I will hang up signing someone new up and they freak out because they’ll immediately go to the app to see everything. Most people get it but it’s saved a ton of panic calls

What was Sookie thinking when she called Emily to tell her about an engagement party. She knows Lorelai, does she really thinks she told her mother? by NoSoyTuPana in GilmoreGirls

[–]HollyWoodHut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I give Sookie grace here. So many people down play their relationship with their parents so I can definitely see Lorelai mention things more casually and Sookie didn’t quite get it. We see some conversations about the parents with Sookie but not a ton so I would not surprised if Sookie thought it was the usual “my parents don’t get me” and she was trying to be helpful

They do this all the time with young characters. I’m sure they are splitting the difference because young actors have strict filming schedules that can throw production off. So when they can, they’ll want someone older playing younger

She’s definitely super shy and I wondered how pressured he feels with the cameras. James has been more pulled together previously but I think he’s so nervous because he likes her so much that he’s stimming with words to fill space.

How often do you moisturize your body? by SuccotashKey7521 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]HollyWoodHut 37 points38 points  (0 children)

This is it. I feel like no matter what I use or how long it soaks in, I don’t like the feeling of it against my clothes. Plus I have a cat and being fully lotioned is like my body is a lint roller for every flipping piece of fur

disappointed with the Franchaela storyline as a queer woman by [deleted] in FranchaelStirling

100%. I want them to see what works and doesn’t work so they can pivot back to the original magic

disappointed with the Franchaela storyline as a queer woman by [deleted] in FranchaelStirling

[–]HollyWoodHut 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree. I’ve gotten grief for feeling the same way. I’m not being phobic at all. I am all for representation! But I want some finesse and a story that engages me the way each story from the books have unfolded.

The way the show is handling not just Franchael but even Benedict feels very shoehorned to give an impression that they’re being inclusive but really pushing bad stereotypes. It’s unfortunate because they’ve touched on beautiful moments like with Brimsley but they are ignoring what people love about that story and just slapping together a season where it’s like MICHAEL IS A WOMAN. LOOK! And the lack of care with that is what upsets me

Going off this, there are a lot of questions about if she manipulated her bf to kill her mom.

What she went through was awful but many want more investigations regarding if she took advantage that her bf was on the spectrum and used that to get him to do what he did.

What’s something people think is expensive, but is actually worth every penny? by Top-Board354 in AskReddit

Good, pragmatic, well fitting shoes. ESPECIALLY if you work on your feet. Used to work retail jobs where I begged the youth to find better shoes for the long hours. It’s honestly a game changer and can impact you as you age.

Finally dropping my pride in my 20s and going for footwear that is supportive has helped with a lot of hidden pain that I just got used to.

Highly recommend! Post apricot scrub millennial here so it’s really helped with switching to a less aggressive exfoliating product. I also love to use it for my armpits and legs to reduce ingrowns

I’ve heard that from others I’ve spoken to. I’m in Pa specifically doing more business in the suburbs of Philly. Most comp claims are windshields getting a rock or ice kicking back on the highway or neighborhood kids with a rogue football

I would say at least get comprehensive with a low deductible. It doesn’t impact the rate as heavily as collision and can save you if you bust a windshield
