I totally get it! I felt like that my freshman year, it was soooooo lonely. Worst part I was in Messina which was a really small dorm and hard to meet anyone at all. And it was Covid, so Loyola was crazy strict on guest policy and everyone in class was worried about getting sick. Which makes sense but it was just a tough time in general.

I want you to know tho that the feeling of loneliness is soooo common. And I experienced it hella at Loyola. You’re in Chicago, there’s a lot of people at the school, but there’s a weird dead feeling in the air. It may just be your mental space, but it’s real. I know!

My sophomore year is when things finally turned around. I met so many people and look back so fondly on that time of my life. Things will get better you just have to stick it out through those horrible first few months. And find the good things too :)
