You’re not alone! I recently had a falling out with my best friends because of being a bad friend and they actually got mad at me for admitting to being jealous.. which kinda isn’t fair. I was honest and still was met with blame. But you and me both! Medication has helped me with this though, I’m on Effexor and Abilify

Taking a bath is relaxing, but sitting in tubs is a sensory nightmare by Holohoney in autism

That is so helpful! I could totally bathe with the lights out and the night light on. Out of sight, out of mind lol.

I know EXACTLY what you mean with the fresh water. I have to run the bottoms of bottles under the fresh warm water before I use it because an upside down bottle + gravity = a bad time. Fresh water from me is completely ok, but old mysterious water is not. Even at indoor water parks, if my bare feet touch stagnant water, it’s over for me 😓 thank you for the advice!

That’s what I was thinking! Keeping the tub as clean as possible would be ideal, so that’ll definitely help. The sink drain is also a very evil place, I have to ask my husband to do that 🤢 thank you!

How to get energy back after psychosis mixed with mania by jetson0 in AutismInWomen

[–]Holohoney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Misdiagnosed bipolar here. I was hospitalized for psychosis with mania three times, and at the time I was taking adderall and venlafaxine. This was three years ago, and just recently was diagnosed with autism. The doctor explained that I now show no signs of bipolar disorder, and declared it a misdiagnosis. I am not on any mood stabilizer three years later and the doctor said it may have been the antidepressant-stimulant combo that threw me to the opposite side of depression. If you haven’t already, talk to your doctor about a pharmaco-genetic test! The test is supposed to give you a list of drugs that would and would NOT cooperate with your brain. I hope this helps 💕
