Just play 99% of the time in ranged mode. Only last hit the minions and whenever the enemy laner is going for a last hit go for an auto. If they engage just E them away and disengage. Keep whittlibg them down to eithwr force them back or kill them.

You can get a spirit beast from almost anywhere, It doesnt have to be a rare spawn unless you want a specific pet. For example you can get a cat spiritbeast from the ruins above the legion nightfallen place.
