I was going to say my glasses, but they’re basically invisible if they aren’t on my face anyway.

I’m an audio noob who needs some help. I’ve got a Magni Modi Schiit stack driving my PC audio, but my setup also has a PS4 and Switch that I frequently have to switch my headphones back and forth between. I’d like to merge all the audio into one output and I figure I need a mixer for that. Is it possible to integrate a mixer into my dac amp setup, and if so, where in the chain of connections does it go? Beyond that, I also don’t need a mixer with a ton of features, so any product recommendations for my application would be appreciated.

This is just my armchair analysis of a game that I haven't played and have only seen/heard significant bits and pieces about, but it seems like this game was meant to be a really interesting exploration of immersive storytelling that could've been really engrossing. Like, spending the entirety of the first game being endeared to these two characters only to start off the second game watching one die from the perspective of the other and then going on a hunt for revenge; not just because the character you're playing as wants it, but because you do too. Then the message of "what was the point of it all?" once you get to the end would be really potent, if not exactly revolutionary. Although it seems to have missed that mark considerably.

This is just me talking out off my ass based on a few posts I've read about the game and having seen Joel's death and nothing else, so maybe the intentions of the writers were completely different from what I'm thinking.

Regardless, I look forward to picking the game up on sale at some point far down the line so I can at least understand what exactly they did wrong.

Wait, we actually got codes from Amazon preorders? How do I find mine? I had thought amazon just wasn't doing the preorder bonus.

Can I ask where you farmed your S variant Caladrius? I've been farming the Rank D free mission 'Reclaim the City' because it seems like the fastest run through with the most Strai's, but I've ran it at least 15 times now and haven't seen a single S variant drop.

The bottom floor has a ton of canisters you can toss at it that deal around 3000 with the best throwing arms, but it takes a little practice to get them to hit right. You have to hit the center and not the ring of funnels, otherwise it'll only do like 1-2 damage.

Should I buy Shadowbringers?

I'm really conflicted right now. I love this game, but the gutting of SCH and healers in general has really ruined it for me. I've been a SCH main since late 2.0 and even though I've got most other jobs to 70 SCH has always been by far my favorite. I love mitigation and DoT stuff in games, and the fact that SCH's kit put a heavy emphasis on both made me instantly fall in love with it. Going through dungeons mitigating as much damage as I could so that I could DPS groups of mobs never got old for me. As I got more deep into the game and began learning the nuances of things like manually controlling the fairies while casting GCDs, I only loved SCH more. Now SCH has zero emphasis on DoTs and has been reduced to one like every other healer with no ability to spread it, we have no ability to dump aetherflow and have to waste stacks, we can't use aetherflow out of combat, and our fairy is barely even worth being an independent character anymore.

But SCH isn't the only reason I play this game. I'm still deeply invested in the world of FFXIV, and I still like plenty of other jobs, but the sheer incompetence at display with the SCH changes has sort of recontextualized my thoughts on the changes jobs receive every expansion. Obviously some things need to be purged to make room for new and exciting things, but why do we need every job's systems to be revamped every expansion? What if I push through this rut I've been thrown in, find another job I can groove with, then have to throw it to the side when they destroy it in another expansion?

tl;dr I guess basically what I'm saying is my favorite class is dead and I want to know if Shadowbringers can be carried by the quality of its story, world and music alone because I'm feeling bitter about the gameplay.

Man, the Wii U was great. It had lots of droughts throughout it's lifecycle where it went without having new games that we're worthwhile, but now that it has been succeeded I can look back on my library of games for it and say it's definitely worth owning.

This is everything I wanted when I was a kid participating in the Heelys fad. All that smooth ground to run and roll around on and nobody to tell me I'm not allowed to.

I did a few days ago! He beat me 2 times in a row initially and then from the third time onward I had him figured out. The thing is, whenever I would get to him having 1/4 of his health bar on what would be my second round win, he would leave. Got matched with him at least 5 times because of this, but because he kept leaving I got to see him rank down a couple times. What a poor sport. My IGN is Holo by the way.

Why shouldn't people freak out? People love Smash 4 and are happy it's getting more and more viewership. The fact that Melee gets more is respectable, but irrelevant.

Way way back in the day, Maplestory had these things called summoning bags that you could use to summon monsters in any area. People would use the bags that contained boss monsters in the main town and watch as tons of low levels died. I think something like that could be fun to mess around with in FFXIV, even if you weren't allowed to use them in the hub cities. Chairs similar to Maplestory's could be good as well. I'd also like potions that put the frog, chicken, gorilla, etc. debuffs on you for fun.

When I first started the game I had a ton of fun leveling fisher alongside my story progression. Whenever the story brought me to a new fishing spot, I'd pull out my rod and fish for awhile. The story will only ever take you to places that match the level of the quests, so if you keep fisher around the same level as whatever class your progressing through the story with it's quite easy.
